Now I have found your photography tips. Great, great! Thank you very much. And I love Stevie Ray Vaughan as well as other troubadours like Willie Nelson, Ernest Tubbs or ZZ Top. Have a great day. And a cordial "Servus" from the south of Munich ;-)

Nice shots. I am going to Nashville and then Pittsburgh in a few week to get these shots. Very excited about Pittsburgh skyline. I do mostly wildlife (birds), but looking forward to adding this to my photography.

Hi Paul and thanks, hope your trips are excellent! I love to shoot skylines, and although I have never shot in Pittsburgh, I have seen some lovely shots of it. However, I have shot in Nashville a LOT and made a list of great spots to shoot on my blog right here: nomadicpursuits.com/top-photo-spots-in-nashville - hope it helps!

Hi Jim , is there a tip if you dont have a tripod ? Im using a 18-55 Kit Lens IS STM , andd i will be shooting Singapore skyline which is very wide .

For handheld shots, you will need to brace yourself against something for stability (lean against a tree, or lean on a railing if one exists), and make sure you pull your elbows into your sides for additional stability. Also bump up your ISO to allow for quick exposures. Hope that helps!

Nice one Jim, could you leave the stills on slightly longer. I’m viewing on iPad and when I paused the screen darkens so I can’t soak up the beauty of the shot. Go for the sequel now, show us the blue hour unedited image and give us a demo on how to process in Luminar. Also I like the way these are published just before lunchtime........ it gives me something decent to watch during my break without having to waste time trawling KZbin!

Hi Ken and thanks, I can look at leaving the stills on longer, just don't want to drag the video on for too long (if I have a lot of shots, for example). I may do some editing vids on some of these shots, will have to see. Thanks much for watching!

Another great vid, particularly like your composition (with the construction crane in the center background). You've given me some thoughts about shooting Gloucester quays in blue hour:-)

Thanks for watching Alex and hope the tips help. I find blue hour to be the best time to shoot in a city, usually so much cool stuff to see. Have fun, and thanks!

Jim, how does auto focus handle blue hour, or do you focus manually?

@@gloucesterkiwi my Sony autofocus works really well, except when it's incredibly dark. So I generally use AF and did use it for all of the shots in this video. Thanks!
