This is the Skylon Arcade, in the basement of the Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada it used to be quite the place, with huge crowds, some of the most unique and large games ever, and even some rides, but alas, time has taken it's toll, and the tower isn't as popular as it once was and there are much flashier game rooms on Clifton Hill, so this arcade has been suffering from neglect for a couple years, i figured it deserved a visit while i was in town to record this incase it dissapears, enjoy.

We went to Niagara early summer 2011 and we had lunch in the revolving skylon tower restaurant which was a great experience. While waiting for our table we visited this arcade in the basement. While it was fun and the prize ticket counter was open on the day we were there, the prizes left much to be desired and I couldn't help but feel a sense of eeriness, like being in an amusement park during the off-season. It's a nice memory of our 3-day trip to Niagara falls though. Thanks for posting.

In the 70s this place was amazing , it had an indoor Ferris wheel and other rides, I miss the Niagara of old, Maple leaf village, pyramid place and the burning springs Panasonic tower area

Oh yes...the indoor ferris wheel! Through the years they had electric go carts AND a scary haunted house ride. And Maple Leaf Village's adjacent three story-complex complete with an Elvis museum!

I fondly remember that arcade back in 82-83 and it was PACKED. All the top games, they even had rides! We used to go from there to Maple Leaf Village to look for girls. It's a whole different world there now. I lived right up the street from Skylon in 90, even then it lost that old school vibe. The Falls are still magic, but I'm glad I spent time there when it was the place to be.

Thanks for posting this. Does anyone have any video from the 90's when they had the electric go-cart track?

This looks like an awesome arcade! It is a shame that it has lost so much since a long time ago (such as the food places and electric go kart track). Even so, you still don't get to see many arcades like this today. Good video!

Aw jeez, it's really gone downhill since I was there in '99. Back then all the games worked and they had the big light rifle shooting gallery from the arcade in the Lakewood Mall. I wonder what happened to it?

I am in Niagra Falls right now on vacation and trying to find a decent arcade. So far, none of them have very many arcade games, and some only have racing and light gun games. I wish there was a place in the city that had a lot of games from the 80s and early 90s, but I havn't found anything like that yet. I don't understand how any of these places stay open.

Eric... is this where we point out that you have a habit of leaving claw machines empty? Was it full when you got there? It was full, wasn't it... come on you can tell us...
