Exactly so! When most politicians begin their careers they have the best of intentions but as they become accustomed to how Westminster 'works' then the majority join in with the 'trough', the 'Elite' educated are like this right at the start of their careers because their system of 'education' teaches them so, they lead, even if not by example, and in fact don't particularly 'Govern' as a Government should but Rule as they see fit. Modern 'Society' is just a watered down version of Medieval feudalism and was particularly so pre WW 1 and until just after WW 2, it is now returning with a vengeance! History has a way of repeating itself because we as a species have no idea how to really live with each other and those in charge become so corrupt and indifferent that they don't concern themselves with the fact that what they are doing is obvious to the people as they once hid things in the past. This is when a 'Society' Empires collapses as those in the past have done so. Our 'Societies' will collapse soon, very soon because we cannot learn!

It's the responsibility of a good journalist to play devils advocate. Which Beth Rigby does well. She asks questions that on the face of it might be considered biased, but she is well prepared.
