Sky News's Trevor Phillips speaks to shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves MP about the budget and Jeremy Hunt stealing Labour's policy - scrapping non-dom status.
Asked why she's not praising the chancellor for taking an idea she thinks is so excellent, she said "because they could have done it years ago".

We need the NHS funded by taxing big businesses and stop off shore tax loopholes that the gambling industry is using. A lot of these online gambling sites are taking peoples money because of their addiction, and they pay no tax on their profits. The tories still left a four year loophole on non doms.

Denise Coates owner of BET 365 was the 3rd highest taxpayer in the UK this year and the owners of BetFred 4th. The new Non Dom residency criteria is necessary if the UK wants to retain and encourage these very wealthy people to live and importantly spend their wealth in the UK rather than elsewhere.

The NHS gets billions ring-fence. Why should we keep throwing money at something not clearly working for the population?. Maybe getting rid of all the equality/diversity "managers" and a transparent audit from an outside auditing company would help and the public seeing where every penny goes. There's so much corruption and fraud going on...oh and stop wasting taxpayers money on stupid day courses training someone how to use correct pro nouns. Any other managers of businesses would have been sacked for doing what NHS does.

My take from this was I actually didn't think Rachel didn't do to bad for a change, it looked like Trev was trying to trap her a little bit. He gives me joke though the chortles, the smirks at one point with her on the immigration bit he went on about three times trying to get an answer it was like if he was Jamaican he be saying answer me nuh. Both Labour and the Tories are going to cut benefits and target the disabled, whilst pretending they are "making tough decisions". The reality is it's no longer a tough decision to constantly target the poorest and demonise them, it is cowardly and very easy to do. A tougher decision for MP's would be to think of other ways of raising revenue by going after those sitting on vast amounts of wealth.

UK GDP growth over last 40/20/10/5 year timeframe is only lower to USA and is better than rest of comparable EU countries. The notion that it could or should have been higher considering the UK was within EU for that period is laughable......data i looked at was gdp annual growth from worldbank.

Does this woman understand that the fact the country has debt is because we had two years of covid - lockdowns - which labour agreed to. No party could have avoided debt because of covid. Labour will borrow - support illegal immigration - go against the british people and theyll probably 'take the knee' to the EU.
