Until recently, my daughter was teaching at a(nother) Christian school, which does have several Muslim children. The children and their families are treated as neighbours, and they well understand the values of their school, which they respect. For goodness sake, the families *placed* their children in the school. This MLC school in Melbourne is acting hysterically, and nobody should place their children in such an environment. It's not a good influence. Not a wise investment.

My Dad stated the number one rule, when working with machinery or playing any type of sports ALL FORMS OF JEWELLERY MUST BE REMOVED FOR SAFTY. Once the sporting event is over then put it back on. All,of my work clothes and sporting clothes had a special pocket sewn on the inside of the trousers/shorts where I could place my wedding ring and other items of jewellery safely away. My grandmother, a devout Christian woman throughout her life, attended MLC as a boarder. She was awarded a prize for 'Elocution' in 1906. The school's motto, displayed on the cover of my grandmother's prize volume, is 'Deo Domuique', which means 'For God and Home'. Perhaps a commitment to the Christian God, and to the life of Christian service as a homemaker, is no longer part of the MLC ethos? In that case the motto has become an anachronism. Even so, one must be astonished that the school should so far abandon its original values and faith as to discriminate against those students who wish to affirm those values, and that faith.

Thanks for the report! 😀 Absolutely absurd that someone would be asked to do such a thing! And in a Christian school. It may well have been a DEI hired teacher who asked them to do this. I'm guessing they weren't a Christian 🙂. If its a Christian school they choose the rules - like a person chooses if guests should take their shoes off when they enter their house or not. Its their house they choose the rules appropriately so. Christian schools should not have to embrace woke decay, the school is theirs! If they don't want to respect the Christian school rules, don't go there. Go somewhere else! If you won't respect when a person asks you to remove your shoes when you enter their house and demand that you are the boss of their house rules, no sound person will tolerate such absurdity! Nor should they. My house, my rules! Christian school house, they choose the rules! Not some woke decay chaos agenda! 💪💪💪.

As an atheist, I find this hilarious. When is the obvious going to sink in . The education system is the problem. These teachers need to go ,but most importantly, the investigation of this school that is needed should go right to the top of the management structure. If you send your child to a Christian school, you know what to expect. If you work at a Christian school, you know what to expect . If you need help understanding principles, maybe you shouldn't be a Christian school.

Mmm...the govt have been trying to hamstring Christian schools for quite a while now, by saying they can't discriminate against teachers who aren't Christians (funny how we never hear of Islamic schools being similarly affected). And now it appears that students cannot be display items of clothing/jewellery that identifies them as of the Christian faith, yet anything else goes.
