For sure. That silly cow kept trying to put word's into Tony Abbott's mouth. I remember once when Jana Wendt (the so called wonder girl of Kerry Packer's journos) said to Bob Hawke, "Mr Hawke, so your'e saying xxxxx . . ". Hawke immediately stabbed his finger in her direction and with raised, angry voice replied, "No Jana! You're saying that, I'm saying this." She was shocked as though stung and pulled back with an alarmed look on her face. It was pure gold and probably the only time I ever saw her rattled.

Here we have Senator Cox with the pro voice agenda questioning a former PM as if she is absolutely right and he knows very little - it is my opinion that it is probably the opposite - this ex PM is entitled to his views & has nothing to gain by putting them before this committee - if Senator Cox wants an argument I think she might be better to wait for Graham Richardson to appear before the committee. I thought this committee was formed to explain the proposal - not for arguments for and against. Can you imagine what it will be like if the voice should succeed. So VOTE NO.

I've stopped listening to indigenous communities and activists a long time ago. They get 4.2 billion dollars a year for a small minority of people. It should cover for things such as internet, housing ect. What they doing with the money? To my knowledge they was all given new homes and cars a long time ago but they trashed them. There homes looks like Detroit. They all have broken windows holes in the walls ripped up carpet and camp fire in the middle living room. Cars burnt out at front of there property ect. They did it themselves. They choose to libe in remote areas away from hospitals ect. They expect special treatment from the law. The problem within many of thoughs communities, is themselves. You can't help a lost cause. Australian government and police have been trying for decades to help them. It's the quter cast that wants to claim more lands and a vioice to parliament ect so they can claim more tax money from Australia and rewrite the constitution laws for their own liking. And they don't even live in those communities they live in some expensive apartment in the city and are as white any other European Aussie. They are Antifa BLM.The government shouldn't even entertain them

The Senator seemed to suggest that as an ex-policewoman working in a regional part of WA, that she was a higher authority on policing in aboriginal communities than an ex Prime Minister of this country who later held the post of special envoy in Aboriginal Affairs. The senator went on to suggest that any lawlessness in these communities was due a lack of "basic necessities" but these things are available in the main towns and cities which is where the highest rates of lawlessness are to be found. No to division but yes to equal rights and opportunities for all Australians.

"so besides the racism of police, lack of cultural understanding of police", that's a red herring of a question and a logical fallacy, plus lack of evidence to say that all police are racists. Funny how when Alice Springs indigenous elder locals were questioned about Police racism… they asked “What police racism?”. As for access to internet and phone, that’s a service that all Australians choose to pay for. Yes, there is a lack of internet/phone service in remote areas… but don’t play an “everyone should have equal access” card. The people who pay exorbitantly for access to those services in remote areas do so because they see it as vital for their business/life… not so their kids can text each other and play Roblox. Ps. Love how “kids culture classes” was the last of her concern to make the script.

This woman presumes that her own people are not able to become smart enough to get together and work out their own social struggles without handouts and victim culture, my memories of my in laws where so not that, I was very proud to be accepted by them and I respected them as my parents and family and I am insulted by the presumption that they are incapable of their own forward movement within a modern world, they did it and they were comfortable with their friends white and black, rich and poor of both sides, yes there were small business owners in their community, I am bored with the assumption that they are ALL victims. I hurts my heart all this divisive language and backward attitude and it hurts me to hear my gran-daughter say I dont care to learn about my heritage because other biracial kids beat her up on the school bus because of their own confrontational upbringing and because she just wants to love her family and they have lost theirs are just angry and misguided by their own, I wish my in-laws were still here for her, they were real people and true Australians, respect your elders if they are respectable all kids all cultures and if their not respectable you can make your own choices and get support, its out there billions of dollars of it being held back by people who think they are elders and are detached from their own culture, the victim cult must stop so a proud people can breath and be of generous spirit and good character. This horrible rhetoric by the voice people is going to force many children to forsake their own. I have never asked them to choose but they are being bullied by the programed racism of their own because they dont want a life on benefits. Its their choice.

There's no need for a "special" committee of unelected individuals representing Aboriginals. They are not "special" people and deserve no more representation than any other Australian living in this country. The Voice will do nothing other than cause a greater divide. Non-aboriginals are more than happy to live side-by-side with Aboriginals. Maybe it's about time Aboriginals stopped causing problems and started living side-by-side with the rest of Australia.
