Angelfish tank and its amazonian population - December 2021

New video of my 550L Tank with its amazonian population included 10 adults Angelfishes from South America. I have two wild species from Rio Manacapuru and Rio Negro (Santa Isabel).
Had to add a polycarbonate cover to limitate water evaporation
The lighting is made with a #Chihiros WRGB2 120 cm ramp

Les plantes en aquaponie (Monstera, Pothos, Phalenopsis) sont une merveilleuse pompe à nitrates.

Beautiful angelfish, and as much as I love all fish the angelfish are my favorite. They are so beautiful and majestic! Discus are great but those angels are absolutely gorgeous. I've been keeping fish from when Moses was around. Back then most of the angelfish didn't have all the color's. After 55 years the selection of fish is incredible. Back in the day I had a pen pal named Herbert R Axelrod Dr, he had discovered half or more of all fish. Look him up, I believe we lost him 2018. i just subscribed and looking for more angelfish.

I had few angels few months ago they are cute in the begining once they get big they fight each other and when breeding other angels get into stress sometimes its hard keeping angels but i love them

Mine are "fighting" nonstop but that's the point to have a large group to avoid attacks on the same individual. Right know it's quite balanced :). Just avoid to have small species like Tetra cardinalis that will be some good appetizer 😅

I have 150L of decantation filtration beneath the tank. Food is composed of frozen discus food, artemias, mussel and spinach

Hey. I bought the Manacapuru angelfish at "Poisson d'Or" in Belgium, and the Santa Isabel specie at Iktus Aqua, specialized in importation fish. I'm not sure if you will be able to order from UK since the Brexit :/ Hope you will find a way ;)
