These two songs sums up my life pretty good. Even though English is not my native tounge these songs are so fundamental and basic that anyoone can understand them. Thanks Skynyrd and Cash.

I’m sixty years old and David Gilmour is by far one of the most amazing guitarist I’ve ever had the pleasure of hearing. His very own sound that can’t be duplicated is still discernible at every cord. The fact he has the chance and ability to perform his wizardry while his daughter has the ability to so eloquently provide vocals and be a part of that is truly amazing and a blessing to them but the rest of the world if they will simply listen. I listened to this song A LOT after my grandfather died. He didn't listen to the band, nor did I, very much. But he was a humble, intelligent, and modest man who accomplished a lot and I cherish the memories I have of him. Before he died, he gave me both his army canteen and his combat knife from basic training from his service in World War II, something my uncles really wanted because he knew I'd cherish them more than anyone. I keep them 100% safe and they're priceless to me. But his biggest accomplishment and the one I remember him best for is that when he worked for Bell Aerospace in Buffalo, NY they were subcontracted by Grumman, who was contracted by NASA to build the Lunar Module to land astronauts on the Moon. My grandfather who was a brilliant mechanical engineer designed the agena rocket engine for satellites, but they used his design for the ascent engine on the Lunar Module. That engine would fire after every Moon Walk (Lunar EVA) to bring the astronauts back to Lunar Orbit, and eventually come back home. Without my grandfather, and many thousands of others of course, our journey to the Moon would never have happened. My grandfather was very thrilled to be a part of that moment in our country's history and had some awesome stories about it. However, he remained extremely humble and modest. Thanks Lynyrd Skynyrd for getting through those really long months of mourning my grandpa, I really appreciate it!

😢😢🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊g I😮😮😮😮tyHi, can someone help me with my microwave. I can't afford to get a new microwave as I have motor and health sickness. Its too dangerous for me to use the oven and hobs. But its suddenly stopped working I've changed the fuse in my plug and the fuse in the microwave. Everytime its plugged in the switch for all sockets trip in the fusebox. I would rather repair then get a new one I changed the microwave fuse once before 5 years ago. I just don't know what the problem is this time. If someone could help that would be great. No rush I'm using Ensure plus milkshakes for food at the moment but i would really like some hot food. Its hard not being able to reheat meals i haven't been able to finish. The fuse in the microwave is a 8 Amp T8A 250V 20mm × 5mm Ceramic fuse. The socket on the wall was replaced incase it was that causing the issue but it didn't help. I've tried it in other wall sockets it doesn't make a difference. I recently moved to a ground floor disability flat so i thought it was that because its blown out a blender that i had to replace, a carpet cleaner i still cant fix and my lenovo laptop im still trying to fix and a space heater that doesn't heat anymore. Bad luck maybe who knows only lived here a year. London, UK, Europe. Update: Thanks for all the suggestions, I've ordered replacement door switches if it still doesn't work I'll move onto getting a multimeter and checking the capacitor and magnetron. 😅 Also, I'm not a complete doof I don't know the jargon but I can put 2+2 together and of course I'm taking precautions and using protection. For anyone whose interested, these are the prices for the replacement parts I've found for specifically my countertop microwave. For the UK this is as cheap as it gets. Filter with microwave fuse = £4 Door switches for all three = £5 Capacitor = £6 Magnetron = £15 Knowledge = Priceless5 no t😅😊😊😊😮🎉🎉🎉❤❤😂❤😂❤❤❤❤❤😂1❤❤

I’ve seen hundreds of videos of them live and plenty of times in concert but I have to say this exact performance is nothing short of magical. The timing, the vocals, the guitar tone that all three of them are cranking out, loud AF but complete clarity!! Probably the top performance of simple man during the modern incarnation of this band!! The greatest Southern Rock band of all time. In fact if their was no Skynyrd theirs no southern rock. Just the Allman Brothers playing blues with a heavy rock and jam influence. Don’t get me wrong their where and still are some great southern bands, but Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet were the ones to put rock in southern rock! Nobody could touch those heavy grooves and screaming guitar tones! #LongLiveSkynyrd #LongLiveTheSimpleMan. #RestInPeaceRonnieVanZantAllenCollinsSteveGainesCassieGainsBobBurnsEdKingBillyPowellAndLeonWilkinson! #FlyHighYouFreeByrds!

My brother Aaron passed in 2020 on June 22. This was his song. His best friend suggested it for the funeral. Now when I hear or I'm feeling melancholy and this song is playing I sing along. As an actual artist I feel the need to sing this song to my sons and grandson. I love the lyrics and maybe one day when I'm not so sad I'll return to Nashville and sing your song. I pray you won't mind. Texas
@josephtrexler29762 жыл бұрын
I'm not far from Nashville... and I play this song pretty flawlessly as far as the "rhythm" guitar. I put rhythm in quotes because it's picking, not strumming... so not what I describe as typical rhythm. I can play the lead too, but I can't do both at the same time :P Anyway, not that this will ever happen but if you make it to Nashville at some point, find a way to contact me... I'll stand up there and play it while you sing. To honor the song and your brother.

LYRICS: Mama told me when I was young "Come sit beside me, my only son And listen closely to what I say And if you do this it'll help you some sunny day" "Oh, take your time, don't live too fast Troubles will come and they will pass You'll find a woman and you'll find love And don't forget, son, there is someone up above" "And be a simple kind of man Be something you love and understand Baby, be a simple kind of man Oh, won't you do this for me, son, if you can" "Forget your lust for the rich man's gold All that you need is in your soul And you can do this, oh baby, if you try All that I want for you, my son, is to be satisfied" "And be a simple kind of man Oh, be something you love and understand Baby, be a simple kind of man Oh, won't you do this for me, son, if you can" Oh, yes, I will "Boy, don't you worry, you'll find yourself Follow your heart and nothing else And you can do this, oh baby, if you try All that I want for you, my son, is to be satisfied" "And be a simple kind of man Oh, be something you love and understand Baby, be a simple kind of man Oh, won't you do this for me, son, if you can?" Simple Man" epitomized Ronnie Van Zant, who enjoyed friends, family, and a good time far more than anything money could buy. He held true to these values even after he found fame. Van Zant died in the 1977 plane crash that also claimed the lives of Skynyrd guitarist Steve Gaines and backup singer Cassie Gaines (brother and sister). When the band reunited and toured in 1987, they dedicated this song to him. Even though the lyrics state, "Sit beside me, my only son," Ronnie was not the only son. He had two younger brothers along with one older sister and one younger sister. Those younger brothers are Donnie, who formed and fronted .38 Special; and Johnny, who took over as Skynyrd frontman after Ronnie's death. RIP to all the original LS members 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
