Personally I like Allen but it takes both Gary and Allen’s playing to make the first album which is easily their best. Ed king only played guitar on one song on pronounced. Ed really didn’t play bass very well so when the second album came time he was involved a lot more. But Gary and Allen were always bouncing off each other. No Allen or no Gary it’s a completely different band.

.Good line up. But the original 3 guitars included Ed King, who was also brilliant. Saw the 75 tour with only 2 guitars and you wouldn't notice the difference. Steve 'Okie' Gaines was good, but not right to say the 'true Skynyrd'.

They massively practiced. Ronnie was a task master. He would go over and over a song until it was "perfect t." All the solos, were not spontaneous. What they played on stage was exactly what they practiced. Many of the members had said this. Love me some Skynyrd

Ronnie played shows barefoot. My aunt met him back in 1975 backstage before the show. Ronnie said... It was about him being in touch with the stage and the music under his feet. He could feel the rhythm and it flowed upward through him.

I watched that too and thought I was dreaming!!!!!! 😂 was shocked they was a feature band on one of the primetime next works in the dawn of 2024! Ronnie and the rest of Skynyrd in heaven is smiling!

Saw lynard skynyrd first time in 1974 next show after many times in March 2024 I'm a navy veteran Vietnam era served on the USS Vesole DD 878 seen all of them still love all rock on brother's amen God bless America and our veteran's that's why we are free I'm one of the lucky one all these years.
