If he just said 'Hey, let them pass', there's a chance he'd have been able to get Deathpia finished up without issue. but he had to try and wipe out the crew and make Conis take part in it. Honestly, a lot of One Piece is 'evil people manage to anger the Straw Hats and get their dreams ruined for it'.

My favorite thing about Enel is that he was the only One Piece villain to get defeated by Luffy and STILL achieve their dream. In the cover stories, Enel find his "verth" to rule by going to the Moon, then he meets lunar robots and a gang of space pirates. By the end, Enel conquered the Moon and rules it now.

For the longest time I assumed the skipping skypeia thing was a meme, it blew my mind to find out that a decent number of people actually did it. If for some reason someone seeing this comment skipped it or is struggling to finish it, I really do recommend reading it at least? I definitely understand the anime experience can feel like a slog, it’s probably the worst pretimeskip arc in terms of filler, but the manga experience is great and skypeia is one of the best and in hindsight one of the most important arcs in the entire story

In the early 2000's One Piece was on Toonami in America and it didn't go all the way through the arc, it stopped after the fat angel fight. This frustrated a lot of people who once they found ways to actually see the show again they just went on to the next arc. Then skipping it went word of mouth and it became a meme.

Skypea is one of the more important arcs for the late game of One Piece, a lot of things are set up there that arent payed off until around Wano. And it is also the first arc where Robin is a part of the crew before Water 7 where she has her moment, if you skip this arc, its like you watch Usopps story, but you only watch his introduction episodes, little garden, and then end at Water 7. Despite missing the larger parts of the one piece story, Usopps story is more then joining the crew, then finding some giants, then having a fight with the captain. And just as in this theoretical straw pirate i have set up to punch down, if you only watch Alabaster, then head straight to Water 7, you miss all the time Robin just chills with the crew, get to know them, and get to see first hand how Luffy is. If Skypea never happened, Robbin would not only not care if the crew got blasted to the next centaury, but she would also not accept their help when they would come for her.

Skypiea Foreshadows: (*Spoilers Below): -Observation Haki -Advanced Observation Haki -Advanced Armament Haki (Satori vs. Luffy/Sanji/Usopp) -The Voice of All Things (Aisa’s Advanced Observation Haki Ability) -Stacking Devil Fruit Abilities with Haki (Enel’s 20,000km Sonar of his Rumble~Rumble Fruit and Advanced Observation Haki stacked together) -The Poneglyphs’ greater connection to The World of One Piece -That Roger and Oden DID go to Skypiea -The Arc Maxim & Deathpiea Attack being analogous to how Uranus/The Mother Flame most likely works -Enel’s SUPER IMPORTANT Moon Cover Story -How Vegapunk’s Homeland is linked to the Moon -That the Original Birkans/Shandorians/Skypieans came down from The Moon after running out of resources -Ancient Weapons Hieroglyphs in the Moon -I also love how the Skypieans came from the Moon to the Sky, and the Shandorans were water spout blasted from the Earth to the Sky for both races from completely different environments living in a “let’s meet in the middle” area of the One Piece-verse. -Also the Shandorans revered the Sun God sooo much that they made living sacrifices to the Sun God, Rain God, Earth God, and Forest God Alter for centuries. If you know you know. -I think the reason I love Skypiea sooo much is just how much foreshadowing & mysteries are packed into that Arc. -Also Noland’s Statue makes an appearance in Dressrosa’s Green Bit Tontatta Fairy Land, as a grand deliverer who helped protect their jungle and show them how to grow their jungle and home underground better as he was a world class botanist and saved their people from a plant based disease just like back at Shandora. -It just goes to show that Skypiea STILL CONTINUES to be ever-present in future One Piece arcs and I’m super excited to see how The Ancient Golden City of Shandora plays a role in the Ancient Kingdom Arc that we will surely get sometime before the end of the Series ala Turn Back The Pendulum Arc from Bleach.

Mugiwara No Goofy, I am so happy you are making more “One piece is halarious” content! I always am happy to see the way you see the story in and to get a good look at others perspectives. In fact, I usually play the playlist WHILEST I SLEEP so I can sleep better. Just letting you know great work out there and im glad your getting more recognition. I’m not sure how this idea would go because I have not seen a lot of wano arc, but it would be cool to make a “One piece is halarious” video with the arc of Wano, maybe by Kaido perspective. I love your channel so much. I binge-read One Piece recently for the first time and finding this channel makes me appreciate how amazing Oda is as a writer. Just basing a comedy channel around his work allows a talented individual such as Mugi to create great videos that very few things can make me not watch immediately after seeing a new one. I don't know why people skip Skypeia (though I have heard some people think the early fights are boring?). Besides being fun and having well-developed themes of its own (like the displaced indigenous people needing to get back access to their land as part of the conflict resolution!) there is SO much foreshadowing of the things like the role of "gods" going forward! The interaction with "Skypeia Border Patrol" (the white berets) IS particularly funny.

The really funny part of Skypia is the fact that it has one of the antagonists who if they succeeded, would have just gotten entirely bodied by the true powers of the world. Seriously, Enel would get down to the blue sea, rampage through like a dozen islands, then get bodied by either an admiral or a yonko commander.

Seriously I don't think enough people get this fact I see tons of people say Luffy beating a god this early on is a plot hole for some reason like smoker and crocodile werent on the same level if not more difficult because of luffys immunity to lightning.
