How can the SKY RC be calibrated? My charger shows 3.6V on the display, but when I measure with a calibrated Fluke multimeter, the meter shows 3.3V. That's a big difference. Please write how it can be calibrated.

This device has a huge problem, when you charge / discharge using only the main power port it'll not reflect the voltage correct, so it'll finish charging / discharging before it gets to the required voltage. It can be solved by connecting the balance cable which will measure the voltage correctly... But then there are 2 more problems 1. The maximum current that's allowed is 0.7A both in charge and discharge 2. You'll have to disassemble the battery if you don't have a direct balancing connected all the time which is annoying

I dont like that the t100 only cost $49 in the usa. But the t200 is $109 which is more than twice as much. Imo the t200 should be priced around $89

is it ok to charge the 5200mAh 2S 7.4V at 12A, given the batt is rated at 5.2A? Also, if there is a 2C charge rate, that equates to 10.4A max, which is still below the 12A chosen in the vid.

I would appreciate your help regards to my problem.

I see you are using a 2c battery. So if your charging a 5000mah 1c battery surely you can only charge at 5amp max? On a 2c 10amp. Do you not have to therefore adjust the charger to the correct amperage? Thanks

Those are the correct charge rates for the examples you provided.

2 downsides I see, but looks like a great charger at a great price.... 1. No leads or adapters at all, no balance boards, etc.. and since it is XT60 outputs, many people who have previous chargers likely have a handful of different leads set up for chargers with 4mm banana plugs... I will have to build/adapt a couple leads I guess... 2 , and a minor downside... no USB port for powering devices ,which is pretty handy... I'd totally pay like $30 more for a a USB port and at least a couple charge leads so it was usable out of the box with batteries other than ones that have XT60 plugs... If they could make like a 200w x2 with USB and some adapter cables, for say $199, I'd be in for sure... Looking for a new charger with a touch more power than our Venom dual and Hitec X2 dual... my son moved up to 1/8 scale with 4s, and I have my eye on a 6S plane...

Hi can you advise what wiring I would need to charge a LIPO battery with JR/Futaba RX plug as I see the SkyRC T100 has female XT60. I'm new to hobby and trying to order the right wiring for charging the transmitter battery.

Any good for balancing hybrid battery modules? In comparison to the Tenergy T180 100W Balance Charger, which would you suggest is better?

This would not be a substantial upgrade over the Tenergy for your application, it would be comparable.

OK I have a question I understand voltage multiplied by amps equals watts and when you're talking about 100 W of charging power you divide by the voltage my question is should you divide by the nominal voltage of the battery like you said 7.4 V for two cell or should you divide by the max voltage which would be 8.4 V on a to sell to get the comparable amps For the actual white no one has ever answered this question because in my opinion, when you get up to four port closer to 4.2 V for sale you're still adding more power even with the same amperage please correct me if I'm wrong.
@RCJuice Жыл бұрын
All calculations in this industry are for the nominal voltage of batteries. Your point is valid, but as a standard it all just goes by nominal voltage.

How do you discharge the battery

Almost every battery charger (including this one) also has a discharge function, or you can use a dedicated discharger for quicker discharging of your packs: www.rcjuice.com/skyrc-bd250-discharger.html

Ok ... so I'm new to the hobby and all these numbers and acronyms .... yeah, I'll pick those up over time I'm sure. My questions are .... if I buy this charger (currently AUD$165) and one of those bundles with all the connections, will it last for eternity (or very close to it)? I don't have a preference for fittings - will this charger work with one of those AUD$20 bundles I've seen? I'm mainly interested in bashing RC buggies with my 5 year old son .... maybe some rock crawling because my first full build will probably be a B16KM. I can see use for a dual port because my 7 year old daughter participates intermittently. Thanks for any info :-)
@RCJuice2 жыл бұрын
This charger will work for you for quite a long time, if you got into larger/high-voltage packs you may want something with more power to charge them faster, but at that point you are looking at a DC charger and a dedicated power supply. This T200 is more charger than any of us ever had in the early days of LiPo's and it would be great for the foreseeable future for your application.

I calculate it based on 4.2v per cell… after all that is what we ask from our chargers 3s 5000mah @1c rate requires 63 watts and 5amps 6s 5000mah @2c rate requires 252 watts and 10amps to efficiently fully charge all 6 cells Not sure why people do the maths based on 3.7v per cell
@RCJuice3 жыл бұрын
3.7V is the nominal voltage for a LiPo cell so therefore it was what calculations are based on to have a standard.

@@RCJuice thanks for the reply mate I’d say we are both correct 😂 Cheers mate appreciate your videos take care
@lennart1882 жыл бұрын
@@RCJuice I think 4.2v is correct since that is the charging voltage. Would the charging voltage be 3.7v, the battery would only be charged to 3.7v (like 10% or so). At least my charger draws 41watts when charging 3s with 3A. 3*4.2v*3A=37,8watts. So that is closer to the measured 41watts, but there are also efficiency losses. Better educate yourself on the internet than with my comment......I actually don't know anything
