The last of an era and among one of the greatest and sought after sets of all time. In terms of popularity it is considered a God tier set. Among the Top 3, just slightly below 1st Edition Base set. We will not stop until we have documented opening 1 of each and every English release set by Pokemon. One day there will be a playlist of every single set in order of release. Oh adn I love this set! expedition, aquapolis and skyridge have the most beutiful artworks! Its sadthey never got to realeasing the last 2 sets, I didnt even know about that :( The reverse cards for legendary collection were soooo good aswell. There have been some good set afterwards tho but the only sets I really like since the EX era are plasma storm/freeze :)

i had a holo crystal charizard when i was a child. i mangled it, carrying it around in my pocket, bringing it to elementary school and what not. i wish i knew the value of the cards back then, but It still brought me joy. we were just kids and enjoyed the game and collecting the cards!

So I didn’t see if anyone said it in chat... but the reason for the hot springs/ mountain backgrounds is that the Japanese translation of this box is something like split earth and mysterious mountains which was the inspiration for a lot of the backgrounds in the set.

Skyridge is my all time favorite! My mom gave my sister and I 2 Skyridge booster boxes for Christmas in 2003 and we pulled 4 Crystal holos (Kabutops, Crobat, Ho-Oh, and Charizard). I had them all graded 4 years ago and sold the Zard in a PSA 9 almost immediately for $700 thinking "wow nice!". Now they're auctioning for something like $8k+ so I'll just be crying in a corner.... haha But so much nostalgia with this set! Thank you for sharing the experience.

I was Born one month after "SkyRidge" released. One by far one of the coolest art work set in my opinion is Articuno... The best artwork I have seen for Articuno, Umbreon gives me that retro feel and especially Celebi really luv that card. those are my top three for sure. Are 2016 to 2020 Pokémon cards worth anything? So the holo's are the ones with the reflections in the artwork in picture, correct, and the reverse holo's are the ones with the reflective on the outside of the picture, correct? The ● is common cards, ♢ are uncommon and the ☆ are the rare, correct? Are the rare non holo's worth anything, can some of them still fetch a lot of money? I just started collecting these cards, so I'm trying to understand how it all works. My Father has 18 sheets full of the older Pokémon cards, the one's from 1996 to 1999, which he wants me to look at them and see if he has any that's worth any money. They are all in fantastic condition, they've been in the sleeves since they were given to him years ago. Thanks
