To me, this has always been Skyrim's fundamental paradox. Had Alduin waited just a few more seconds to start his attack, the Dragonborn would have been beheaded and there'd have been no one to stop him devoring the world. He appears and attacks at the wrong place at the wrong time to fulfil his destiny only to inadvertently seal his own doom by saving the life of the only being capable of destroying him.............DUMBASS

Parthunaax does mention that alduin was very arrogant so it is possible that he himself felt like killing the dragonborn himself and see to it that the glory is his, which leads to his downfall, later when reviving salonkinir, he decides in his arrogance that the dragonborn is unworthy and has salonkinir kill him, or he knows salonkinir won't beat the dragonborn but stall him so that he can destroy the world and have the dragonborn know he failed. It's a common bad guy arrogant trope.

There's a major hero you missed. I forget his name but he's mention in an unmarked quest at frostfall(I think) lighthouse near winterhold. He's the main subject of it and completing the quest gives you a unique blessing that improves restoration spells. He killed a caurus reaper with an ax then locked himself in with the others to make sure they never escaped in attempt to protect what little of his family that still lived.

Interesting note on #1 of the list, you can actually find Falmer arrows at some of the sacked carriages and murders and piece together the story without finding the Adventurers camp 😉

Heres a fun fact you might not have known. In solitude there is a maid that works in the Blue Palace called Erdi and she'll often say something about going adventuring with you if you walk near her. However, she isnt recruit-able at any point in the game so iused Extensible Follower Framework (EFF) to force recruit her because i wanted to make her dreams come true god damnit. Thing is, she has follower dialogue and will comment on dungeons and the like as if she was a regular follower. Looks like she was a follower at one point but the devs cut that feature for some reason but left her as regular NPC?

Yeah she uses Young Eager Female voice if I can remember correctly and that has follower dialogue. The only people this won't work on is a few voice types for less common races and unique voices that don't have the follower dialogue

Hidden heroes huh? How about Daugr, the bar tender in winterhold? You talk to his wife and she gets you to make the local drunk, Rinmir, to pay up on his tab. After that, the bar tender will give you an unmarked side quest to get the poor drunk back on his feet stating that the drunk wasn't always like that. It's a really cool and mostly hidden and unmarked side quest that I only just found on my sixth playthrough.

Hey Nate. I just found an interesting item for the 10 hidden details series. If you loot the sacrifice located outside the Altar of Thrond on solstiem (I have an all armor is lootable mod) you can get a “clothing” item called wound test. When applied to your character it strips them to their undergarments, and leaves their body covered in various wounds

Raymond Taylor >> max out sneak, enchanting and archery. Then get a dwemer crossbow and double enchant it with chaos enchantment and whatever secondary enchantment you want. I personally prefer silvered. I usually also max out smithing a few times (craft jewelry and with heartfire, do building materials. They give easy levels) and refine the enchanted crossbow as much as it can. It usually insta kills or kills after 2-3 shots :)

Been playing Skyrim as an Anti-Hero Werewolf as of late. Roleplaying as if whenever the dragonborn transforms he is possesed by a endless need to hunt and eat, and when he wakes up from his werewolf form its as if he's had a complete blackout. This has had a roleplaying effect on the game world i could never have predicted, everything is so much darker... Here's a few examples that really hit home, beware of SPOILERS: - Taking out a Silver hand outpost near riften for another Wuthrad fragment, only to wake up inside a tower near a couple of vigilants of stendarr, you find dead animals and multiple legionaires further down the road. - Taking out the Glenmoril Witches as a werewolf was instant karma. - While avenging Kodlak, transform and take the remaining silver hands out as a werewolf, while Vilkas just watches and realises how horrid the revenge he wished upon them was xD (for some reason he didnt lift a finger against them, not that he needed to, it just fit so well too xD) - Namira's quest, after eating to satiate pure curiosity, looks down at the coven, realising how effed up they all are, transform and take them all out as werewolf. Alternatively you could just save the priest and slaughter everyone else as werewolf, then listen to the priest turning his stomach inside out after waking up and seeing everything. When you arrive at markarth a guard tells you your breath stinks and wonder what the hell you've been eating xD (so messed up) - Being captured by Astrid from the dark brotherhood, enraged by the humiliation from being caught unaware, you transform... The dragonborn wakes up and everyone inside the cottage is dead and there's blood everywhere xD The dark brotherhood is defeated shortly afterwards and you're hailed as a hero. I could go on, but suffice to say this has been a very refreshing playthrough.

The homeless woman in windhelm is my hero for some gold she leveled up my pickpocket skill so I could steal a lot of stuff from some rich npc

It's silly to refer to someone as a hero for attacking a troll and dying. Especially a Stormcloak.
