Ngl i like the content/subject switch up, it keeps things fresh. I’ve always liked the way you tell stories and whatnot but i feel (after watching basically all of your videos) I know all there is to know about fallout 😂

You gave Columbus more sensible treatment than any modern professional "historian" (and I've listened to a lot of their b.s.) . It is so refreshing to hear history without a cultural Marxist slant. Early explorers were extremely visionary, tough, courageous and skilled. thank you for communicating that.

Okay there's something I have to point out, something I've never see anyone talk about and that's the Heart of Dibella quest in Markarth where not only the dialoge changes with what gender you are but its also one of the best rewards (mostly for females) I've ever seen and also the location of where you need to go never changes, not to mention when I went though the quest multiple times I notice that all the enemies are forsworn females except in the last room where there is a loan male forsworn briarheart along with the only double bed in the whole keep. Make of that what you will

Love the fallout lore but I absolutely love this real world history lore

You can't really take old maps as a given, people mistakenly had various sizes for the same island or a good example is what mr hancock used the patagonian map that shows it's connected to Antarctica, we obviously know that was never the case as under all that distance there is salted water. Where people take old maps as a given conspiracy theory starts and for all we know colombus did the trip to find a faster way to spices without paying the ottoman fee's

I think “The Emissary” in 76 is supposed to be a reference to a figure (who was seen around same time as Northman in WVa) whose name was Indrid Cold.

9:55 Well not just that because it would be easy for a h8rade to say the birds flew off to die. When they come back next year that's when you can be like booyah you think they was flying all year bro? Ancient people were just as smart as us and had way more time to notice natural stuff like that.

I'm a fan of this channel and of history podcasts, this was good! Nate should definitely do some more. My favorite historical mystery: what happened to the Roman legions led by Crassus against the Parthians? Thousands of soldiers were captured and rumored to have wound up in Western China.
