I always set this house up as a Dawnguard safe house. Do the armory, extra beds, and the alchemy tower. Then I put Dawnguard armor and weapons everywhere and pick a Dawnguard companion to make a steward. Best part is when it glitches and the mannequins start walking around in full Dawnguard armor. Makes the place feel really alive.

If you don't want to build all your own crap, hire a steward and have them furnish all the rooms. Then walk just north of the manor to where there's a table with a necromance and a skeleton, surrounded by a few man-sized stone obelisks. The cell border is right along the southernmost obelisk. If you basically run back and forth a couple feet right by that obelisk, you're exiting and re-entering the cell. Every time you do that, your Steward will buy one item from your shopping list. So just spend 2-3 minutes running in circles over that border, and your home is fully furnished. Except the cellar, you always have to do that room yourself.

every time i try to buy the furniture for the entry room, it says i dont have enough gold. when i have over 20k of gold.
