I know this is an old post but I also had this happen, I found out you can sleep in any bed and you will be automatically set to 'full' health, which allows you to take it off. I don't know why this is the case, I think it may accumulate the damage you take after the regeneration has happened, but in this case the regeneration will never stop happening, so you build up more damage banked than you can take without the item.

For those of you that don't know, you can do the same thing with smithing and enchanting gear with a fortify restoration potion. After you've done what he shows in the video enough times to get some really strong fortify restoration potions, just take it with you to go and improve your weapons and armor, and drink it, unequip and re-equip, and they'll be boosted according to how strong your fortify restoration potion is, it also stacks with smithing potions. I have a wooden sword that has fire/frost/electric enchantment and paralysis enchantment on it, the damage output is usually just a line with a couple of 0's at the end, it changes sometimes to other weird stuff, though, but anytime I hit something with it my game freezes for a second or 2 and then usually whatever I hit dies without making any noise and then vibrates on the ground. It's a beautiful sight to behold..

@@toothpasteicecreamandorang217 yeah I have 2 1 hit K.O. Wooden swords. One I had made the game crash, so I had to tune it back a bit. One of them, like I said, makes the game freeze but not crash, the other functions like a normal weapon but just 1 shots everything. I've done it to all kinds of stuff though. A lot of fine tuning went into my Link sword shield and outfit to make it the perfectly balanced set to play on master mode with. Also gave a few necklaces and rings a 700 carry load and gave those to all my followers so they'd be able to carry whatever I want them to, but I also wear one myself that has 5000 equip load so I never have to box anything. It's honestly my favorite glitch in the entire game, right up there with getting 2 Dawnbreakers, I see it as an essential thing to do in any playthrough.

I use this to make non-essential followers immortal in my vanilla playthroughs. It’s always annoying to gear up your combat buddy only to turn around during the next fight and see their well-armored dead body gloriously lying on the ground. Plus when they are the ones wearing the god armor and using god weapons, it’s hilarious to start a fight and then run screaming “Faendal shoot him PLEASE!”

To level up alchemy to 100 dupe some garlic, nordic barnacles, and salmon roe (get this from the salmon that are jumping in the waterfalls near honingbrew meadery). Get around 80 of them or so and brew them together to level it up super fast and also be able to sell them for basically endless money.

Third option for all of those potions that you have just made is sell them one at a time to the merchants there so you can raise your speech skilled

Did this glitch today (18 nov 2020) on xbox one special edition, no mods. Couldn't not get the increase alchemy % up. So I figured it was patched. Someone on reddit told me to try get new apparel with higher % of base alchemy increase. So I ended up putting 3 perk points in total into the first alchemy skill, and used black soul gems to craft new items. And it worked.

Thanks! I tried several guides before this and couldn't get it to work, but following these steps got it going for me (2020, Nintendo Switch). It actually worked TOO well. My alchemy, enchanting, and smithing were all already at 100 when I tried this, so I only had to make a few restoration potions to get it to extremely high levels. Ended up making some gauntlets that fortify archery by well over a hundred million percent. Problem is when I put them on, all my bows do negative damage. I tried making a weaker restoration/enchanting potion and that seemed to fix it, but I've already used all my ingredients so gotta stock up and do it all over again. It's hard to know where the limit is.

How you make alchemy dire with 23% is you go and make some fortify enchanting potions and then you have to have level 100 enchanting with all of the perks for increased effects (You can craft them with 20% without the normal potions 23% with the potion)

For those who’s ALCHEMY ENCHANTMENTS DONT GO PAST 20% when doing the glitch~~: enchant your gear where your created potions are 40% better. It will require 100 enchanting but the glitch will work. It’s a common problem with Xbox.

I've seen a lot of comments stating they can't get over X% using this. On top of what he said about getting your Alchemy boost up to 3/5 you'll eventually have to upgrade your gear you're using to make the potions. Mine was really low at first, only like 3% bonus. Got the loop as high as I could but it still capped around 65% or so, and made some enchanting potions and made a new set of alchemy gear, this time they were up to 18%. That boosted everything for the next loop getting my potions up to several hundred percent. Rinse and repeat until you get to whatever percent you want your potions.

On the 360, I would take the gear off and put it back on like you do, but the enchantment buff stayed until I took something off. So, you can drink the Fort Resto pot just before getting your fighting gear on, and the enchantment buff would stay until they are removed.

The Resto. potions last for 60 seconds. So the only reason you are really even making Resto. potions is to get your % high enough so you can make Fort. Enchanting potions. You drink those before you make a whole new set of gear or weapon and that way your % or enchantment will never change on the item.

Well, after making those buffed enchantment potions I immediately go and make permanent boosted gear of Alchemy and Smithing which then I can use whenever I want to make boosted enchantment potions or gear to even one-shot dragons lol.

The loop still works as of June 12, 2021. And I also noticed that if let's say you make 10 lower quality potions and you can drink all 10 at the same time THE EFFECT STACKS!!! So you can just from like 70%-80% all the way up to what ever the 10 pations stacked together would equal!!!!

I used the cheat room mod to try but could only get to 420% resto potion and it wouldn’t go up no matter what, and my enchanting and smithing potions would go up at all, must have done something wrong? I unequipped the armor then requipped and then drank the potion not potion first, probably why? Thank you.

Jonathan Salvetti yes I just used it on skyrim se ps4, make sure you have the required perks as shown in this video, 2-3 perks on alchemist, 1 perk on physician, 1 perk on benefactor, to do the trick you need to do this as fast as possible, 1 potion of restoration, drink it, remove and put on the alchemy armor(make sure you have 4:a ring, a necklace, a helmet, and bracers). Repeat until you get an absurd ammount(after7-8 potions) and then create a potion of smithing

Also having an issue. I have the special edition on ps4. After going through the steps it works and gradually increases in percentages, but after the potion wears off. The stats on my enchanted gear goes back down to normal. From 30% to like 13%

Juan Baltazar its the most expensive potion in the game. Garlic and Nordic Barnacles are easy enough to find, in houses, inns, and random barrels for the first and up north in the water for the second. Salmon roe is trickier, or at least it seems that way at first. You’re supposed to get it by catching jumping salmon at waterfalls, but you can just get it by using unrelenting force (just the first word will do) on most salmon you find swimming in rivers. Salmon Roe is supposed to be one of the rarest ingredients, but doing the shout you can easily get it. Following the river from Whiterun to Windhelm is really good for it. I’ve got three times as much of it as i do garlic and barnacles. And since alchemy experience is based on potion value, it really shoots it up quick, giving you almost a level per potion for a while. You need Hearthfire to get salmon roe btw, but it comes with Skyrim special edition

@@fleshhammer656 Technically it's 2% but, that will take a long time and you'll have to be super fast. Trying looking in the hidden chests or with merchants to find a higher %. 6-12% is about the average, although I've seen 22-24% on a rare occasion.

Ummm your gear will keep its fortifying effects. As long as you keep the gear on and do not remove it it stays. Check your active effects after the potion. I use to do this with the amulet of talos to get 0 second cooldowns for shouts. The fortify restoration boosts any enchantments on your gear. Again, as long as you keep your gear on after the glitch you will keep the enchantment buffs with a slight decrease.

It works well, but as soon as it gets to a point, where a potion instantly gets alchemy to 100; the game freezes and crashes. Same for enchanting: if I make a potion for ridiculous enchanting the game crashes as soon as I try to enchant an item. Is there a solution for it?

Konstantin Andreev Yeah, you can't have a too high percentage so you have to be careful on how many times you do this since first time i went overboard and it crashed. Only solution I got is simply restart this process on a fresh potion/enchantment

Bucky The Gator as long as you don’t have anything with more than 8 figures, it shouldn’t crash. I’ve gone to 11 or 12 figures before without it crashing, but I generally just tell newbies to stop at 8 for now. After they get the hang of it, then they can experiment and practice until they get everything where they want/need it. You shouldn’t need anything above 5 figures most of the time. The only things that I’d really recommend going higher than that on personal gear is health regen in the soul cairn when you get directly under one of the giant raised soul gems that drain your health and your crafting (alchemy/enchanting/smithing) gear for the purposes of speed leveling and getting rich. If you do it right, you’ll get to a half million pretty soon. You can usually go to about 11 or 12 figures with regenerative enchantments to prevent stamina/health/magicka drain from enemies that use spells or attacks to drain said stats, but what I’d suggest is putting all your level points into health for the first 400-500 levels or so, which puts your health above 4,000 with no enchantments and your health regen will also be pretty fast as well, as a result.

So, after spending many hours researching, the sweet spot for a fortify enchanting potion is right around 100,000%. Getting ANY higher will crash the game when you try to put an enchantment on something. 106,000 is the upper limit, if you hit 110,000 a soon as you select the enchantment you want to place on the item, depending on the enchantment, your game WILL crash. Some enchantments are less sensitive than others, and you can use that, by putting that enchantment first, and the sensitive enchantment on second.

@@MrBlogHater I was going for brevity in the post. I was just talking about the enchanting ceiling, with a grand filled grand soul gem. You can also SOMETIMES frontload and enchantment that doesn't have a percentage to bypass the crash, like muffled. I did this research, with and without mods, mostly so that I would KNOW I wouldn't have to worry about crashing the game. That was what I meant with my post, because when I first started using this, I couldn't find anybody that had listed what the crash ceiling was when it started happening to me. I think part of the reason for this was to prevent the negative wraparound, like when you get the fortify restoration too high, and the values go into the negative.

Why when I get to 61% fortify restoration it goes to 14% alchemy and when I drink 65% it goes to 13% alchemy :/ (I have just made the ring and necklace coz I didn’t have them before and now I have 115% which takes me to 19% alchemy and then with the 19% it makes 118% potions and when I drink them it gives me 18% alchemy) Can someone please help why this is happening

You have to be faster. The potions only last for 60 seconds. You can up you Alchemy Tree Perk from 2/5 to 3/5 and it will help.

It's all about speed. The potions only last for 60 seconds. A quicker way is to upgrade your Alchemy Perk Tree to 3/5 Alchemy. You can do this by using the duplication glitch and just making a ton of potions until your Alchemy gets up high enough.

I had the same issue today and was only able to do it after unlocking some alchemy perks. Looks like the factors from the apparel alone is not enough to produce the exponential growth. Without any perks I used up all my ingredients but couldn't get it above ~110 %. After unlocking the perks it grew as expected.

It’s not working for me. I’m on Xbox 1, have all the apparel needed, have level 44 alchemy with all the needed perks unlocked, and it’s not working. The apparel went up to 12 for a while then went back down to 8, and my potions are only in the 120%, some a little higher or really lower. Help

There's a way to leap frog. Get it as high as you can and then make an Enchanting potion. Drink it and make new alchemy gear at a higher level

heres the problem I’m having; I can do loop just fine, get my resto potion up to however high I want. then I make the super strong enchanting potion and drink that. I will use that to enchant a piece of gear to fortify alchemy at a high % and my gear will be strong UNTIL the enchanting/resto potions wear off then my gear goes back down to 17%. pls help :o

fat lard were you just unequipping and reequipping the items and repeating, or did you actually try getting the temporary fortify alchemy enchantment high enough (via the fortify restoration potions) and then making a new permanently enchanted fortify alchemy gear? You have to make new items with the fortify alchemy enchantment for it to stick. There may be multiple factors that could cause this. First of all, I believe you’ll need to have the Legendary Edition, or at least the Dawnguard DLC, if I remember correctly. I believe that’s what I read. Anyway, 2nd you’ll also need to check your perk trees and make sure you have both you’re enchanting and alchemy base perks at 3+ each for the best results. The others on the alchemy tree don’t hurt either, but the base perks are the most important. They’re multipliers, to put it simply. You’ll notice that due to the side effects of the fortify restoration potions, your alchemy will begin to shoot up more rapidly than your enchanting will. If you’re doing it correctly, you’ll be able to take your alchemy from probably somewhere in the 60s to 100 in one shot. It may be that your enchanting is too low. You may have figured out what the problem was by now, as it’s been a month, but you can also try other methods to boost your enchanting or alchemy; which ever one you’re having the most trouble with. If you have the Dawnguard DLC like I mentioned, try doing the quest (if you haven’t already) to get the Aetherial Crown (not sure if I spelled it right or not) to allow yourself to keep 2 Standing Stones active at once. So once you have the Aetherial Crown, go to the Guardian Stones (Mage, Thief, and Warrior; the first ones you should have encountered in the game after Helgen with either Ralof or Hadvar) and choose the MAGE Stone to give yourself 20% faster skill increases in said the respective group of skills. Then go to the Lover Stone (+15% improvement to all skills) and accept it. You may need to do it in reverse order. I can’t remember which or if it matters at all. You can also get married and sleep next to your spouse or at least in the same house with him/her while he or she is in there when you select the sleep option. This gives you the temporary Lover’s Comfort (+15% improvements to all skills) bonus. You can also ask your spouse to cook something for you, and he/she will give you a “home cooked meal” to eat, which I believe has the same effect as Lover’s Comfort, and thus, probably won’t stack, but I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to try. 2 of these effects (I believe it’s Lover’s Comfort and the Lover’s Stone, but I could be wrong) won’t stack. Lastly, if you haven’t already, you might want to think about taking Harkon’s offer to become a vampire so you can acquire the Necromage (+25% increase to the rate at which your magic skills improve) perk. That’s probably the best one, and the best thing about it is that potions count as “spells” cast on yourself, so it makes your potions 25% more powerful. Regardless, if you combine all these effects together at once, the ones that are are applicable will still raise your enchanting plenty high enough to accelerate your enchanting to 100 pretty soon. From what you described though, it sounds to me like your enchanting is just too low. Hope that helps.

Every time I’ve ever hit the plateau, it seems to have been at exactly the precise second the initial restoration potion wore off. The Restoration Potions only last for 60 seconds then it's over. This one one of the biggest problems people are having is that it only lasts for 60 seconds. The original 8% or whatever you started out with with stay on the gear but not the increase.

It's what I call "the plateau". It happens around 60-130%. You have to just power though it OR you can get training or make a bunch of potion to get your Alchemy to 40 and increase your Alchemist from 2/5 to 3/5. It will make it go a bit faster.

It’s actually very easy for this to be challenge breaking. I try to keep this on the low end of what’s possible. I stick pretty close to just 100% improvement of enchanting so there is some challenge still. I had it at 200% but even on legendary things died in one hit, which isn’t that fun tbh.

So you are hitting "the plateau". It's a pain. A few tips to get past it are, 1) In your Alchemy Tree Perk upgrade your Alchemist from 2/5/ to 3/5. 2) Also when you are taking off items, try putting only 3 back on, then make a potion, drink it and put all 4 items back on.

When i had that problem, my only mod was for aestrhetchis, the glitch worked nice for other fortify things but not for potion of fortify enchantmnet . To solve the problem I went to the CK for special editio and found out that what the potion did wasn't accordingly to it's description: instead of making enchantments X% more powerful, it gave X points of enchantment skill (capped at 100), so I changed that thing based on the defs from the fortify alchemy potion in the CK. Now the problem i had is fixed, the glitch works fine with any enchantment but conjuration XD

As always speed is key. Try upping your Alchemy Perk from 2/5 to 3/5. Sometimes the game just gets stuck. After you've removed your items only put 3 back on and then on the next round continue as normal. This usually fixes it.

It's still not patch but remember this is a glitch. You you are messing with code. It's not always going to work perfectly and sometime the game just gets overwhelmed / confused from us messing with the code it just kinda freaks out. I stopped before I had a negative number on my gear but when I used it to make Fortify Enchanting and Fortify Smithing Potions, sometimes the final enchantment or armor rating after improving went negative. It still worked, so I guess the negative number is only a display bug. And I did this just yesterday on my switch. Worked perfectly fine! But i think I will only use this to make my character carry infinite stuff. The rest (infinite damage, armor etc) will make the game boring.

Yeah, I used this as well, but in limited ways. I can still get killed after 4 or 5 good belts from a guard, so that's just about where I want the danger level. The beauty of this though, is that you can do as absolutely much or as absolutely little as you want. I for one, cannot stand flashy armors. I think it's really for kids and childish egos, walking around in 'Daedric' or 'Glass', looks too pretentious for my liking. Not to mind that, you literally would 'gleam like fresh fallen snow, and clank like a kitchen sink'! So I took my favourite looking armor, leather, and pumped it up to 743 armor points. Now it's Daedric+, and my character is beautifully anonymous, a bit like Aragorn's anonymous Ranger ploy if you will. Modest and practical. No way could I do this without the resto boost. Also, after getting sick shit of the biggest criminals in Skyrim - hold guards - killing all my favorite people, I went about fashioning them 200+ damage weapons, and gave their clothes whopping levels of health. So they really can't die. I have effectively "Armed the town", a bit like a quest in LOTR War in the North, which really appealed to me. A dragon just landed outside Riften the other day. He was greeted with firepower he never could have imagined and got ROYALLY fck'd!!! It was just soooo darn good to witness. No more dead lovely ordinary decent people there either due to dragon wrath. You should have seen Hofgrir giving him four whacks of his mighty Dwarven battle axe! The dragon's foundations were literally rocked with each blow. Then Hofgrir walked off like a boss! Soooo damn good to see. Have also armed my Kahjiit friends outside as some Stormcloaks with obnoxious attitudes told me to "get out of here", then attacked. Next time this happens there will be no Kahjiits on the verge of death, I can tell you, nor Synda and Draven either. All have OP bows, melee, clothes and shields. Sick to death of bully a-hole guards and dragons killing my peeps. NONE of this would be possible (on console) without the resto loop. Think a video should be done on "Arming your favorite town"? Tell the channel!!!

Just Learn3n It’s throughout the the whole thing. That’s how the glitch works. Each one is 60 seconds and they compound upon each other. When the first few 60 seconds are up people will hit a “plateau” and think that it doesn’t work. You just have to power through it. That was a great question.

If your potions go up at all them the glitch will work. It can sometimes be a bit of a pain. You can get you potions as high as you can and then make 4 Enchanting potions, then go and make 4 new pieces of Fort Alchemy gear. This should help you.

I’ve tried this a million times. I have a Helmet, ring, necklace. And bracers. I have 2/5 alchemy, the physician, and benefactor. I work as fast I possible can and just when I think it’s increasing my items will be 23% better and potions 105% better then I’ll do it again, and then I see potions only do 72% Better and my gear is back to like 12%. Look in the 5 hidden chests(video on my page). If you don't find one to Disenchant in any of those you can sell the items in the chest and see if you can buy something with Fort. Alchemy. Once you find something that has Fort. Alchemy go to and Arcaine Enchanter and disenchant it and then just make as many pieces of gear as you want/need.

OK here are 2 tips to help you. 1) You can increase your Alchemy Perk from 2/5 to 3/5. 2) After you drink your potion and take your gear off and get ready to put it back on, DON"T put one piece back on. then make another potion and put everything back on. Most people hit the plateau around there(60-120). To help get past it you can 1) just power through it 2) you can go over the minimum requirements and upgrade you Alchemy Perk from 2/5 Alchemist to 3/5 Alchemist. Either should give you the boost that you need.

Did you make a Fort. Enchanting potion while doing the glitch? Did you drink the Fort. Enchanting potion right before you make your new weapons. The Fort. Enchanting potion are only good for 30 seconds so if you don't make the weapons fast enough the potion will run out.

Just to clarify: if I made the Godlike Fortify Enchanment Potion, drank it, then enchanted a gear, THAT effect is permanent? You are 100% correct. And Smithing gear is one of the best to do, so you can make Godlike gear, Lockpicking Ring, Sneaking or Weight Carry Boots or Fort. Magica Helmet and it will never go away. *** NOTE *** Sometimes on weapons it will deplete like the soul gem is empty and you can't refill it so you have to make another one, sometimes.

@@MrBlogHater I tried this but I encountered a problem. I made a Poison of Magicka Damage, which gives a lot of bonuses and damages to different areas like Conjuration and stuff. It also had the effect of Fortify Enchantment which I was after. I poisoned a weapon, but when I tried enchanting an Absorb Health enchantment, the amount is still 'absorbs 48 health'. I wonder if the problem was because it was a Poison rather than a Potion, and that I was going on a damage-related enchantment rather than a 'perk-related' one. Maybe it doesn't work on enchantments that you can toggle the amounts like Stamina and Chaos Damage. It did work with a Fortify Smithing Potion. Oh, and it doesn't work with TES5 that has the unofficial skyrim patches. EDIT: To get a Potion of Enchanting, you only have to use Snowberries and Blue Butterfly Wings. That was my mistake. The ultra Enchanting glitch will not work if the potion you crafted with ultra-Alchemy is a poison.

Ok, so that is a 2 part step. The only reason we make Restoration potions is to get that % high enough to make a powerful Enchanting potion. So that part only applies to the Enchanting of, lets say a bow with Soul Trap on it. To make the damage of the bow itself more powerful you have to Enchanting an apparel items like a ring with Fortify Smithing. Then improve your weapon. I made a 2 part video on my channel that can help. How high are your potions getting? And are those the Restoration potions or Enchanting potions?

As soon as you get your Restoration to when you want it(while all your potion are still in effect) You make AT LEAST 4 Fort. Enchanting potions. Then find an Enchanter and drink one potion before you make an item. You have to know what you want to make because the Enchanting potions don't last long. Then exit the Enchanting table and drink another Enchanting potion and make your 2nd item.

@@MrBlogHater sorry I realised the enchantment were on 1% except the bracers on 12%, now I'm just gonna finish the the house and then it's on to fortify enchanting and smithing

Idk why it doesn't work on ps3 legendary edition. I've tried, but get stuck on 21% on the items

Once you've drank your potion and take off the 4 items only put back on 3 items and then make another potion. Drink that one, take off the 3 items and now put back on all 4 items. Sometimes the game just gets stuck.

Hey MrBlogHater how are you doing. I have a problem with my health in skyrim. I have a orc account which is level 300 and my magicka and stamina are normal except for my health. Btw I think this was from the restoration potion glitch as I can't seen to get my health back to normal. My health is very high somewhere in the high thounds and I'm not wearing anything to give me a health boost too such as a ring or necklace.I've been trying get my health back to normal but I can't seem to know how to fix it. I really want my health back to normal so I'm not invisible all the time. Thank you. Can you think of any suggestions?

I had the same problem with Alchemy a while back. Even being naked it keep the glitch on me. You can try making a Fort. Health item(ring whatever) but make sure it's higher than what you r current health is. Then take it off and see it the clears the glitch. If not this is going to be more painful. You will have to make a super high Fort. Health item and then make several more items each with a slightly lees % Fort. Health and change them out. Like gradually stepping down.

@@MrBlogHater Never mind bro I fixed the bug yesterday. I made a super high fortify health ring and I had an another high fortify ring. Then I put one and the other and it fixed my health back to normal. Thanks for the help bro👍

Ok i get why this wasnt working for me know,its because i crafted potion drank it then got more ingreadients instead of back to back crafting
