id like to say hes my favorite dragon. tragic story and lore to his character. he was stupid for more power at the time and realized he got the shitty deck of cards(metaphorically) and trapped in the soul cairn doomed to reflect on what happened, but still a wise character. it makes me happy to see his roaming around skyrim doing dragony things.

I couldn't figure this out, nor could I find an actual location to shout on the ground until I climbed up on the rocks and shouted at the ground. Thought it was a glitch, since my shout kept failing. Completed the quest. THANKS !!!

@@yeeyee8520If you haven’t learnt how to summon him yet, press read more or ignore this comment Go to dragonsreach and there should be a thing about capturing a dragon and a dialogue option saying something about you being able to summon a dragon. Once you get to the point of them telling you to summon it, use the shout, trap the dragon in the trap (saw someone using dragonrend and luring it underneath the trap during the effects of dragon rend) and then go through some dialogue before pulling the chain to release the dragon from the trap.

@@RicoX-17 woah bud slow down with your debatable opinion. First he is mot useless and totally better than odahviin. Second the boneman he summons is powerful enough to support you in battle . Third the shout soul tear which deals huge dmg is very usefull. Fourth you can summon him in solstheim. Fifth him using drain vitality and frost breath is a good combination of shout.

I had about 6, 7, maybe 8 enemies on me, so I thought "ok, bring out the Dragon so he can mess them up" but nope, all he did was fly around like an idiot. So, then, I thought "it's Morphin Time" and became a Werewolf, and killed them all. Yeah, that Dragon is a joke, I don't waste my Shout Time to summon him, nor do I even waste my time trying to get him.

Other thing I'm on the Nintendo switch so I was pushing the right button however I didn't know I needed to hold it down in order for it to do the right shout. For those who trys to shout but your character became invisible and the dragon does not shows. It's because you have absorb magic, maybe Miraaks robes + Atronach perk + Atronach stone etc. You must take off this buffs so you could stop "eating the spell". Hope this be usefull, farewell.

I'm not sure. He supposed to come out if u call him like ur doing it right now after the colddown. It shouldn't be any problems at all. (Although the games has a lots of glitches, try something close the application and started over)

Been playing this game for 10 yrs... ive spent 1,000s of hours, have created multiple builds, played on multiple platforms..... and im just learning that you have to learn each word within 1 shout... how the fck have i survived this long?! That's Sovngarde, lol. Sovngarde is the Nord afterlife, Skyrim is the country the game takes place in that is inhabited mostly by Nords, and Tamriel is the continent Skyrim is in. Tamriel is a continent on the planet Nirn, which exists in a realm called Mundus, which is part of the Aurbis (reality), which is where Oblivion (where the Daedra are from) and Aetherius (where Sovngarde) are alongside Mundus (Latin for "the world.")

First of all, don't even bother with this dragon. Believe me, he is completely useless. All he does is fly around, roaring, but yet doesn't do anything, even if you're surrounded by 10 enemies. 2nd: if you really wanna summon him, you gotta aim at the ground infront of you, a few feet away from you, in an open area, and you gotta long hold the Shout button. Hold it untill it casts the Shout. I hope this helped. Though, again....he is USELESS.

Normally it would let you just learn it however I believe you have to complete a certain part of the main story so it let you learn it. I believe is after the greybeards teach you clear skies that you can learn this. I'm not 100% though

I forgot he talks to you the first few times you summon him so I was in the middle of combat and summoned him and he just starts a conversation as im getting murdered Another time i summoned him at the first fight with Alduin but didn't use dragonrend beforehand so that didnt work ha ha ha

I have the same question before from other ppl some ppl where saying it depends also how many dragons you had slaying and get their souls, I'm not sure if that theory is true but when I made this video years ago I remember I had slayed all dragons I had hear coming from the skies so probably I got thousands of dragons already being slaying before I got Durnehviir and I didn't finish the main story either. But like I mentioned before not sure if really has something to do with it.
