I think one chooses Vanilla start (assuming one wants that) via Alternative start so you can let all your mods load for some minutes before hand. Otherwise the heavily scripted wagon ride may crash with a large mod list also initializing.

i really like immersive citizens, but if you like to customize all the NPCs because you can't stand how the vanilla ones look, there's a good chance that if there's no patch for compatibility you'll have brown face characters. I once forgot to patch it with realistic children mod, and they all ended with brown face and no clothes, It freaked me out when i went into the orphanage lol.

I recently modded my Skyrim AE, it was fun and all, but then I tried to add some attack animations, and boom! Game got corrupted. Had to reinstall Skyrim and Mod Organizer. But to no avail. The game is still buggy. That's the ONE thing I hate about modding. You always run the risk of messing up the whole game. (any advice is well-received)

SkySa and animations in general are really finicky, gotta be real careful when messing with those, i heard there's a port of it for Xbox and it's janky as all hell lmao.
