Take advantage of MO's left pane right click menu !!! On a mod you have just installed, and enabled (or even multiple selected ones) RIGHT click--->Send to --->Separator (where you select the separator's name) This just "teleports" the mod to the bottom of the selected category, so you don't have to drag it all the way, ESPECIALLY IN LONG MOD LISTS, which can be slow with that drag-scroll sensitivity. BUT! You will still have to fine tune priority inside that category !!! Also, there is the "Visit on Nexus", which opens a browser with a page opened at the selected mod's Nexus page. And YES, it will open as many mod's Nexus page as you have selected. NAISU!

Like, some mods we have downloaded and installed through the series needed ENB support or some stuff like that. If i uninstall my ENB (for performance purposes), does it impact these other mods or im good to go just uninstall ENB and the mods will continue to work just fine? Watching the videos, but I can’t seem to find the explanation of why you are reordering the mods… We’re they in the wrong spots before? Were they going to conflict with the new mods if they weren’t moved first? I just don’t understand. On the same note, I can’t find the explanation why you downloaded a different night sky mod only to replace it here. Was it required for something previously, but now it’s fine to change? Did you just find this new one later and simply liked it better enough to include replacing it in the video? Your videos have helped me immensely with getting some kind of understanding about modding; it’s just these particular points I’m either repeatedly missing the explanation, or I’m just too dense to understand. You’ve probably moved on, but if you read this then any explanations would be incredibly appreciated!
@ADHDecent6 ай бұрын
Not to worry. It's all deliberately included as the aim for the series is to teach how to mod rather than just following me. All of the elements are areas you'll likely come across yourself when you mod your own build so by covering these aspects you know how it's done and what to look for. It's better to have a clear understanding overall than just being able to copy a build I make. So I am to make it so it's not a collection but a guide if that makes sense.

@jsbrando41327 ай бұрын
While these videos are really well done, the biggest 2 things missing are "the why" and an emphasis on reading the mod pages. So far you're just giving a list of mods to download and install. You never give a reason why you download the ones you do, what the mod does, and how it impacts the game. There is also a skipping of reading the mod page, which I get for video sake, but should at least emphasize to viewers the most important thing to do when modding is read the mod page descriptions and understand what the mod does. One example I noticed in this video is you installed CCOR Settings Loader, but never tell people what it does and how it impacts CCOR itself. While advanced modders know these details, this series appears to target new modders. You also started this video by moving a ton of mods around, but never mention why again. Still, very good videos for someone who just wants to do something like Wabbajack list, but on their own without knowing what's going on.
@ADHDecent7 ай бұрын
Firstly, thank you. Thank you for taking the time to write the points above. Hearing feedback that is constructive, allowing me to improve and refine for future is something I am incredibly grateful for. Especially with my difficulties focusing on targets and goals, I can quite easily see myself slowly diverting away from my initial intentions with my work, and this extends to the content I create, the last two videos were a result of trying to correct said path and get back on track, sadly, in edit, I realized it became a bit all over the place if I'm honest. I began 'patching my patches' to my work if that makes sense. This week I have paid more attention to the subject matter in an attempt to revert back to a clear, structured path of progression and reading that this was needed has reassured me that it was needed. I am truly grateful to you for providing such constructive criticism as I strive to develop, improve and help as many as I can with my work. The most valuable feedback is that which may be hard to hear.

Im not sure based on what youve said but a few things to consider: - You've checked the box on Nemesis for a mod you have not installed (checking doesnt install them for you) - A mod or extension you've installed is for Skyrim and not Skyrim SE so it cannot be read properly - The FNIS esp plugin has not been enabled in the plugins window - Nemesis has not been installed correctly resulting in broken directory paths

I found a little problem and fixed it. So, if other people have the same issue: The problem was that my Nemesis stopped working every time after I did an 'update engine' and then clicked 'Launch Nemesis.' It said I had to update again, so I did, but it still did not work. What happened was that I had been lazy before and did not add the acronyms in front of the mod name until this video, where it was recommended. Apparently, if you change the name of Nemesis or 'Project New Reign - Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine,' it stops working. After adding the old name back in, made Nemesis worked again
@ADHDecent7 ай бұрын
Sorry to say, changing the names of the mods within the main Mod Pane of MO2 won’t have any impact on the results - the only exception to the rule would be for example Mod A and the Mod A Patch but you don’t add the word “patch” to the title resulting in the patch overwriting the main file as they have the same name.

curious why you moved xp32 up to the top when I thought you wanted to prevent it was getting overwritten.

Why haven’t you chosen to include ‘Display Tweaks’ as one of the performance fixes? Not a dig just curious
@ADHDecent5 ай бұрын
A good question for sure. It was written into the build but at the time we were working with v1130 and it wouldn't play ball. So it was removed and then sadly somewhat overlooked as I needed to work through the schedule. It may be worth including it in a 'wrapup' video to end the series though. To add: I can't remember exactly but I think it was a knock-on affect from SSEEF not working properly (later addressed with a TOML file) one of the hardest challenges creating a series with the latest build: one change can throw everything else off that's planned. Constantly trying to throw duct tape over holes as they pop up haha

@@ADHDecent I consider myself quite lucky to have been introduced to modding through your playlist. Whilst I'm sure it is frustrating to work with a moving goalpost I can't really relate because you've made the process so easy to understand, and straightforward to follow. The progress I've made in understanding the nuances of modding and MO2 in just over 2 weeks is astonishing. I think xEdit is probably the next incline I will need to climb but I haven't had to deal with mod conflicts enough to begin the ascent just yet. I look forward to your next video but wouldn't be surprised if I turn up in one of these playlists videos to ask another question beforehand. I hope you have a great day.

I'm truly honored. Thank you for your kind words it really means the world. It has certainly been a difficult one at times! I'm really glad to hear the progress you've made with mo2 as well. It's going to prove to be much better at handling the changes we want to make etc.

it might be a bit before AD gets to mods for Combat overhauls like that, probably even a different series tbh, this series is about the basics for modding and standard mods to grab mostly so i'm anticipating a video on xEdits in the future since it's pretty important for optimization and a handful of really good mods like allGUD

I've done it all from the first video yet now I get a "CriticalLog" from nemesis with "Global reset all: TRUE" in my overwrite directory, any idea what that's about? (Everything went fine until this last video, not sure if it broke when replacing with Ethereal Cosmos, moving the mods to load at the bottom or with the animation mods. I think I got it pretty early though I thought it'd be fixed through later stages in the video and come together.) Kind of stuck now, not sure what to do. (Edit, disabled everything except for Nemesis and it still gives me the CriticalLog... So something broke on the base level of Nemesis? )

I'm having a problem regarding Open Animation Replacer. When I launch the game, a box appears saying that the OAR dll plugin needs to be updated, but when I go to the mod page on nexus, it's saying the mod is up to date and I have the latest version, yet the dll plugin for OAR couldn't load in. My game version is 1.6.1170. Am I supposed to run a previous version of OAR or something? I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this issue.

For anyone in doubt, this guide works with pirated version of skyrim 1.6.1130 :)))) (oh dont judge me, pay the game for me instead) just pay close attention to the versions of mods u will download, specially SKSE and the directory of the game (that will not be the same as the lawfully abiding citizens one) and you're good to go (I'm using 2.2.5 for skse for 1.6.1130).

Bro can you help, my animations mods (combat ) will just not work. Have nemesis, I have ran it but still to no,avail. I have mco adxp and all requirements , xp32 and all requirements. I have also doubled checked all versions. Every time I load the animations into nemesis, it loads 10 animations in total. When I go into Skyrim all animations stay the same.

@@TSProductions3170 hey bro, that's literally the first and only time i managed to run mods in skyrim, so im a newbie, idk how to help u with that, sorry. I just downloaded 1.6.1130 and followed meticulously slow and paying a lot of attention on all this series and it worked for me.
@mathiasbiscardi78898 ай бұрын
@@TSProductions3170 oh actually. Search for when the 1.6.1130 was released. check in nexus for the files that were uploaded a bit after that date. Bc when the mod was released, modders updated for this version. Bethesda released another patch after 1.6.1130, so if u download a file uploaded recently, it has a high chance that it is uploaded for 1.6.1170, and that may or may not be a problem for what i understood. So, i followed evrything in these series, but some of the mods i really needed to pay attention on their upload date and did this process. So, if u decide to do evrything from scratch with a pirate 1.6.1130 version of skyrim, do what i told u.

Love your videos but when I got to this part for some reason Mo2 likes to constantly uncheck my plug-ins on the right while the mods are active and messes up the order of mods every time I run SKSE with no errors on LOOT and now not what to do. I wanted to get into the game but if I'm modding for a week just to face disappointment... :(

I was following the guide step by step but after that part my Skyrim stopped working properly. When I launch skse it just launches normal game instead and then crushes if I open the menu. Is there any solutions to this kind of problem ? (skse with admin)

You always say check to make sure the data is valid when installing a mod, but what do you do if the data isnt valid?
@GrimmWarrior194 ай бұрын
Better late than never, I suppose but all you have to do in most cases is right-click the file expansion arrow of the 2nd "data" folder within the 1st "data" folder and set it as the correct data path. I don't really know why some mods are packed this way but it's pretty common.

I think this question is not needed but i still ask: i left a lot of mods out (sound overhaul, sse engine fix etc) bc i dont want to go toooo over the top. So i do minor changes (the mods you changed in the loadorder) like u did with my mods in the order it is not a problem is it?
@ADHDecent7 ай бұрын
I'm not able to go through individual mod lists but basically there is a difference between mods like Sound Overhaul and SSE Engine Fixes - Sound Overhaul is essentially a preference mod, SSE Engine Fixes is more of a requirement - both for other mods and for the game's stability. So take these sort of things into consideration when choosing mods.
