I once made a nord hunter kind of build. I had this whole story where he was found by a wood elf nomad and that wood elf took him in and raised him. He taught the nord how to use a bow, how to hunt and how to survive. Since most nords hate elves, this wood elf taught the nord at a young age to be kind, loving, and respectful to all races, so generally my character would always help people and only kill if attacked, or if he had to. I was deleting some old saves when I accidentally deleted that save so he's gone forever. RIP Hevson Valanfar :(

(Btw this is just his backstory and yes you can’t joined thalmor sadly)

Right now I have a Breton who I'm using for archery bluid. His back story is that he comes from Hammerfall. He was exile after killing his uncle who murder his father so that his uncle could marry his mother. He hates all types of magic since that was the way his father was murdered, since he does not like magic he took up the bow and arrow. He learn this from his wood elf friend. After he kill his uncle he was captured by the imperial. He worships no god but he does respect Talos. He is hot headed, hates both the imperial and Stromcloaks.

If u are new at skyrim, I am so jelous because then u get to discover everything and it is such a good feeling 💗 there is a lot of interesting and astonishing things in skyrim just waiting to be found. Do everything no matter the risk. Don't be afraid to take on anything bigger or stronger than ur character. Although u should always be cautious. If u die doing something really important and u have to do it all over again, I totally understand how u feel. I used to get soooooo angry when that happened (I still do hehe). Just remeber to save your game before u do something that u think is really important and big, and always know that its just a game (one of the BEST games) and that u can always respawn. For people running with Ordinator, this guide works pretty much the same way in every way but the perks. In Vanilla Skyrim, Archery perks have a tendency to just make you a better archer all around, but in Ordinator I've found that the main focus of Archery gameplay and playstyle is a single, deadly first shot. There are perks that support other playstyles, obviously, but with perks that basically give you a massive damage boost on your first arrow into a target, the focus is clearly on one shot kills and skill shots, so keep that in mind when using Ordinator.

I use sniper tactics, on open ground find a high, preferably limited or no acess from the target area, position, big bow and a lot of arrows and just keep shooting. Both sides of the Archery perk tree obviously. For dungeon work the Muffle spell (which also levels up Illusion very quickly) and aim for the furthest target. The hostiles move towards the impact area which means they are moving away from you and gathering in the target area. Nightingale armour and the Invisible bonus with enchanted light armour bonus ring and necklace and 300+ health should be sufficient defence.

Canis root is a must for handy combat potions. It has both fortify marksman & fortify one-handed. Combine it with juniper berries & hanging moss for a potion which will buff both skills. (Yes, there are other options such as bear claws or spider eggs. I just mentioned the plants because they'll be the easiest to collect, stockpile, and plant.) Keeping a stock of these handy can make an enormous difference. Even if your enemy closes to melee range, you're still covered.

There is a really exploity way to get really high archery very fast starting at level 1. When you get to Riverwood, there is a wood elf that lives there. He has a crush on a woman. If you help him he will become your companion. He can train you in Archery. Get him to train you until you're out of money. Then trade with him and take your money back. Repeat. This also power levels you, since you gain points towards leveling skills through training. EDIT: I obviously posted this in here before finishing the video... woops.

Bonus tip: If you are using the "slow time shout" Use the "amulet of Talos" and the "shrine of Talos" to reduce the cooldown of the shout. Alteration potions is also highly recommended, because they increase the duration of the shout. I am spreading the knowledge of "ESO"

Just wanted to say for those of you who didnt know, or those of you who want to do it this way. In my "professional" opinion, been playing Skyrim about 2500 hours, there is a better way. First thing you should do is make Faendal in Riverwood a follower. He can train your archery up to level 50, and if he is following you, you can just reclaim the gold spent on training back from his inventory. Secondly, Id advise running to Jorrvaskr in Whiterun, head down to Aela`s room, and lockpick her display case which has an elven bow in it. I see this way kills immersion, which is why I dont do it myself, but in my opinion, this is also a good way to start of an archery character.

I wish I knew about you guys back when I was first playing Skyrim. Played hundreds of hours as a High Elf archer and not once used the bound bow... I actually sold the book! Smh... With SE though, I have a second chance. Thank you for your guidance lol.

Man woodelf has SUCH bad racials though, honestly the double damage of orc racial or the 25% 25% 25% resists from being a breton might be better :S but I cannot decide I would love to play as a Wood elf too.
@SirEliteGrunt8 жыл бұрын
Justin Naujoks Yeah. Woodelf just gives you a head start but if you are doing master or legendary difficulty I would go with orc or Breton
@justinn53578 жыл бұрын
Koxden alright man I will do it up def going for legendary so Breton it is

Justin Naujoks And your summons take the enemy agro if you summon as well. And they still do full damage in legendary and master difficulty haha

Archery is beastly in skyrim. I didn't start Archery until like 70 hours into my playthrough. but as soon as I started the brotherhood quests and then kept doing those assassinations I quickly dropped duel welding for archery.

once the game is officially released can you make some more modded characters that use mods available to consoles. That would be great

Helpful, thx! However, I always manage both heavy armor and sneak as an Archer by grabbing the Muffle Boots early on. Then you can equip like a tank and never make a sound while not wasting any perk points of the sneak skill and putting them into Archery instead. Save Angi for the final push to 100. I like the Faendal companion idea since you can steal your coin back. Thx again!

Would you say an emergency melee weapon for an archer should always be a dagger and not a sword?
@captainnoobface11248 жыл бұрын
Lostme Marbles well, I'd say that depends on if you're a stealth archer or not. If not go sword if you are about stealth do dagger as you have all those multipliers for dagger damage.
@RockLegend2A8 жыл бұрын
I would say go sword 'n' shield as a backup for the added protection while you level up your one-handed and stealth. Once you have the "Assassin's Blade" (I think) perk, which multiplies dagger backstab damage by 16(?), and can sneak around reliably, then toss out the sword and shield for a simple dagger. Should be just fine.
@jacobwells92078 жыл бұрын
Actually, no. Daggers so shit for damage despite how fast they swing. When enemies get in close, you want something that still swings fast, but does more damage.
@shadenox81648 жыл бұрын
Nope. Since an emergency melee weapon is for instances where your enemy has noticed you and is in your face. So no stealth bonus, no reason to use a dagger. Dual wield swords I suppose.
@8BitPinkiePie8 жыл бұрын
Shade Nox actually having a dagger in your left hand is useful as your swing speed is based on the weapon you have in your left hand

Captainnoobface ...dude... i was asking the communi- you know what?, nevermind...
@jacobwells92078 жыл бұрын
If you want to use crossbows you only need to know these: 1. Crossbows are loud and will give you away if you're sneaking. Crossbows are for the "Run 'n Gun" types, not stealth 2. There are only 2 kinds of crossbow, Steel and Dwarven. So you'll need the respective Smithing perks to improve them, and to make bolts. 3. In the Dawnguard DLC If you help Sorine Jurard find crossbow schematics, you will eventually get enhanced crossbows that ignore half your target's armor rating 4. Also, if you help Sorine, you can make Dwarven bolts that explode with fire, ice, or lightning. However, you can only make these at the Fort Dawnguard forge. 5. All Archery perks work with crossbows See, Captainnoobface, THAT'S how you help people
@ooka_booka8 жыл бұрын
Jacob Wells THANKS! actually would never have guessed that some of these are real things!
@kuryugaa25057 жыл бұрын
actually, I used to play as a stealth character with a crossbow (cuz I was new at the game). And it worked out pretty well not gonna lie, just as good as with a bow

I love your Skyrim Builds! I like the builds you make where you can have a good build from the beginning as opposed to having to quest a lot, example, this archer class is easier to build vs say the blood knight, both are equally cool, but the archer was easier, thank you and congrats!
@Rexal_The_Saltiest_Brit8 жыл бұрын
if it has been patched, I'll apologize but in the base game Critical hit perks are nearly useless because they only applied the effect to the base damage of the weapon rather than the damage you're actually doing. for e.g if your bow deals 100 damage, with a base damage of 10 a critical hit will only deal 120 damage (100 + (10x2). not worth the investment of 3 perks imho.
@NIMMHATVRapBeats8 жыл бұрын
your serious?
@Rexal_The_Saltiest_Brit8 жыл бұрын
NIMMHATV yup, it was a well known and documented bug in the base game. as a pc user I ran all the official and unofficial patches and I don't remember seeing it fixed anywhere but they may have fixed it for hd version?
@NIMMHATVRapBeats8 жыл бұрын
i played skyrim as an archer like 10 times... i always took the crit. perk.. never noticed that it isnt putting out alot dmg, because i 1 hit most things while sneaking even without the critical hit..
@Ecliptor.8 жыл бұрын
unofficial patches fixed this if i remember correctly
@crocodilesmash40646 жыл бұрын
That is debatable, 20 plus damage may not be worth it but it can still be useful and some situations. Being low health and hitting a critical hit is can save your life, it’s happened ti me.

Am I the only one who adds magic to literally ever class? I wanted to do a heavy archer instead so I added alteration for flesh spells since I'm going to be soaking up a lot of damage
@jacobwells92078 жыл бұрын
If you're using heavy armor, you don't need flesh spells. An extra 100 AR isn't gonna make a bit of difference. However, if you still want pseudo-magic on your build, try using crossbows with a full suite of Exploding Dwarven Bolts

I don't like woodelfs I prefer khajiit it's the same skills but organized differently and they have a better passive. plus there faster if you care about stats.also the weapon with the highest base damage is the khajiit fist at 22 damage the Deadric bow is 19 and the Dragonbone sword is 15

Im gonna be going for a Breton archer/two handed playtrough with heavy armor. I choose breton because i will be play on master difficulty (because im rusty after not playing skyrim for a bit), and breton can have sooo much magic resistance, and most of the strongest enemies in the game use magic. Im choose archery and two handed because archery can take out enemies from afar, whilst two handed weapons can clean up the people that are chasing me. It can also be use to kill stronger enemies. I am using heavy armor because it can keep me alive longer. I hope FudgeMuppet sees this and make a character build on it. Great video btw.

Great guide. Im about to start a 2nd build on my XBOX ONE and was thinking at first of going all mage, but decided on Stealth Archer. My other build is basically an archer until discovered, then a mix of one handed and magic.
