Worked like a charm. Took me 2 tries to get timing right with out the shout. But i went little further and cleared everything in the turning area, and moved closer to the table. So the first thing that prompted for the action button was the cupboard and but the chair. After my first 2 fails and clearing everything away and made cupboard first prompt never failed again and got all the furnishings with it. Was pretty fast after you got hang of it. For all new players that just started playing skyrim, i wouldn't recommend doing ANY exploits/glitches/ect. Jusy enjoy the game at your paste. It will make the game more enjoyable. But, You are free to do these, just dont come back saying the game is too easy and got boring :v

It is a great method, though slow time can get you in trouble with the guards so it’s usually best not to use it, it won’t be to big of a deal since the dialogue is pretty long

There is another way to get a instant house and that's located in whiterun,First you need to go to the bannerd mare tavern,secondly you will need to talk to the armoured mercenary (and of course complete the bar brawl), after you have done the brawl you now need to ask her as your follower, ask her again to change her equipment but you will only need her house key,after you get the key go outside towards whitrun's entrance, make a right through the arch and there on your first right is now your new instant house and there you have it.btw, you may need to execute the merc or otherwise she will kick you out of her home + everything inside is not marked as stealing!.

If the steward won't stand near furniture, you can also have a follower stand near him, make sure you're blocking them from leaving, tell them you want to part ways, then buy the house, exit out of the talk screen, turn to your former follower, then pickpocket them placing your gold on them. You'll get the key for free, then just ask them to follow you again and trade back your gold. No need to laboriously get the steward near some furniture - which I found impossible in Markarth

It doesn't matter as much since you must still have the gold to buy it, meaning that you must spend time on collecting it anyway, I mean keeping the gold is nice, but having the house available at whatever amount of money you have would be better. Thanks ESO.......I don't think there are any other stewards with cupboards nearby to put your money into except for that particular steward in the blue palace. That is really handy to know anyway as Proudspire is terribly expensive and also has one of the 24 required Unusual Gems needed for the thieves guild quest "No Stone Unturned". In Proudspire The Unusual Gem will be behind the large bedroom door even if you cannot afford to furnish the place, at least you can get the Unusual Gem and get on with the quest. I suggest before you start this quest that you make a list of where to find every Unusual Gem and mark them off as you go because they do not have any indicators on them and can be easily missed. This is not a necessary thieves guild quest but quite interesting to do as you go adventuring and doing other quests you can pick them up. Regards.

imo, the best house is in Solstheim. and, its free when you complete a questline. its not hard, just a bit time consuming. the house comes equipped with everything you need to make gear, potions or enchanting. i buy land and build a basic home until i get the house in solstheim, then i move all my important items.

So it goes in the chest/cupboard fine, I get the key, all is good. BUT.. when I go back in and take my gold from the container it will show on the bottom that I have said amount of gold, but there's no physical "Gold" item I can hover over in my misc section

They removed it probably because of this reason I used to have the Xbox 360 version and there used to be a physical version of gold you could drop

But after the interaction if I take my gold back from the chest it doesn't show back up in my misc, but the gold count in the hotbar(for lack of a better word) is correct and I can use it. Anyway, 5K gold quickly becomes nothing. We only buy a house to hoard things anyway so why not sell some of it to make up for the loss. Just an old bug that might've been patched out with the 10thAE

Heres a tip find out where the person that sells you the house sleeps and wake them up save the game say you want to buy the house hit the yes button and immediantly exit and put it in there nightstand and boom your done.

An easy way to make the money is via trading. I have plenty of gold in my newest game just from having enough potions and/or weapons and random junk to be able to scam every merchant I sell too out of all their gold. XD But seriously for any new players (don’t even know if new players still exist for this game lol) who need gold, just become the best freaking trader ever. Currently have 3 fully furnished houses (one of them being Lakeside Manor) plus 40,000 gold stored away in a safe, and somewhere between 25-28K in my pockets. Been playing this new character for like, a week now... learning to trade wisely really helps with earning gold.
