Shirolan, She doesn't have a crush on aela. She just told vilkas that "It just.... i think our fighting styles are similar". Nothing sexual or romantic in that. I don't think there are any LGBT relationships/flirting between NPCs in skyrim aside from the ones with the player and the other 2 gay guys in solstheim.

Vilkas is carrying the same energy and giving the same advice of someone who has thousands of hours in several RPGs, but has never held an actual sword in their life, but are confident enough in what the games have taught them that it MUST be right. Point is, Vilkas is giving half-way decent advice, but only if the person who asked was asking if they wanted to swing around a mallet. And even then... this sounds like r/iamverysmart advice.
