"... I'm not calling Bethesda lazy." I will. The fact that no Bethesda game in existence has never been developed to completion and fixed and left to modders (hobbyists) to do the job of fixing their games is testament to the laziness and passing off responsibility to people who are not paid to do it is evidence to their laziness. There, I'm saying it loud and clear even though I've been playing Elderscrolls since the original- they are a bunch of *Lazy developers!*

You obviously don't know how game development works then. Game developers work sometimes a 100 hours a week when "crunch time" is declared which means that they have to do certain things in a certain amount of time because shareholders and the like want the game to come out at a specific time to make the most sales. Why do you think the hugest games all come out in October / November / December ? Because they sell the most during the juicy holiday season. If they had more time, they would have put more time into polishing it but they just didn't. To call the developers lazy is just disrespectful. Hate the shareholders and the editors who put so much constraints on good developers.

@@Arkenway Bethesda makes their games with "Dirty Code". In layman's terms, in coding, when you make a mistake you can fix it by either rewriting the string of code- which is a little bit more time intensive (around 15 percent) but you get far less bugs in your code or you can do what Bethesda does; just write over your pre-existing code without code redundancies and logic errors... in other words "Dirty Coding". Now, you can either code well the first time you write code (also known as "Clean Coding) or you can be a lazy coder who only does the bare minimum- Bethesda's modus operandi. Now, you might ask, why is Bethesda's code so "dirty"? Well, the entire engine they use to build their games is over twenty years old- they bought it from Interplay when they bought Fallout and they've just been adding scraps and pieces here and there to make it functional... So essentially, Bethesda's game creation engine for their Elder Scroll and Fallout games is one big "Dirty Coding Engine" and these aren't developers who are interested in or maybe even capable of fixing their game's laughably bad coding. The fact that gamers like you contintue to make excuses for shoddy products like this is the reason why they continue to release bovine scatology like this. Thanks a lot- Bethesda needs the defense.

Rebuilding your mod list. I know how that feels. Had to stop using mods for a while because I couldn't figure out which one was making it crash, though it may have been because I had way too many armor crafting mods. I only recently have started playing with mods again, and here are some that made the cut. Alternate Start - Live Another Life. It's good for someone who doesn't want to go through the vanilla start over and over again because you don't feel like you can do something with a particular character. Cloaks and Capes. It just adds cloaks and capes to the game, but you probably know how much that adds to the look of the game. Royal Armory. I didn't do much with it before I went into mod hiatus, but it's really neat and mostly I like it because Commander Maro's sword has a good model and I can get an unenchanted version for my own use. Elaborate Textiles. While it's questionable how all these peasant can afford embroidery on their clothes, it also makes it look nicer. Relationship Dialogue Overhaul and Amazing Follower Tweaks. I got these together originally so it's hard to tell where one ends and another begins, but they're great. I'm someone who likes making custom followers, so this lets them have a bit more character, and let's me have a lot more following me around. I didn't get Amazing Follower Tweaks for a while since the image on Bethesda.net made me nervous, but that doesn't have any bearing on the actual mod. Wet and Cold and True Storms. That's another two mods I can't distinguish for similar reasons, but they're good for anyone who enjoys a good snowfall or rainstorm every once and a while. Smelting III. What can I say? I prefer the easier way to getting materials for crafting, and if you're crafting lots of iron daggers it means that you can just melt them down and get the same amount of iron continually, making leather and boredom your only concerns. More interesting than mining, I can tell you that. There are a few others I was thinking of adding from before the hiatus, and I have added quite a few others since. I just think these mods are worth mention, and they're all available on Bethesda.Net, which is an unfortunate requirement for me since the last time I tried getting a Nexus mod.

I installed the mod but haven't started on it. It's because I never go to that area of the map
@5PctJuice5 жыл бұрын
@@Cause023 It's basically the only reason I go to that area. Definitely check it out. Once you get all of the shops set up, you get weekly income passively. I legit left for a couple in-game weeks and came back to about 6k gold per shop. Insane.

Warning for ''Build Your Own Noble House''. It's got alot of buggy edits resulting in a very laggy area and has the potential to cause loads of CTD's.
@Roy-kj8gf4 жыл бұрын
Necro-commenting here, but yeah. Holy CTD batman! All of Locaster's mods cause loads of CTDs for me, even after cleaning them with Tes5edit, wyre bash and LOOT optimization with no other mods on a fresh install of Skyrim; just DLC and the official patches. He's also seemed to have disappeared so I can't run anything by him to see if I could find other fixes. Oh well, so goes it, shame though; they're beautiful mods.
@Mersoh4 жыл бұрын
@@Roy-kj8gf Oh man I remember downloading these mods. I'm glad I cut down my load order to less than 15 mods nowadays because otherwise Skyrim Together becomes unplayable. I still get the next-gen graphics and some dlc-size quest mods and I've got to say I don't miss the pain in the ass that was managing ~300 mod load orders at all

I have an Xbox one and I use DDC with wildcat KYE, survival mode and on legendary. It hads a maaaaaajor challenge to the game especially at a very low level lol. I have had some fantastic deaths and recordings from all of it. P.S. a shield always comes in handy at any point lol the book that you get for the imperial general in solitude, (mirror something) it teaches alot of importance on the use of a shield. But I digress, fantastic mod review Nate, there's a few I didn't know about with the magic so thank you for the new great info!

Arcanium surprised me. I figured after Lost Grimore and Apocalypse, minus a few smaller packages, there was almost nothing else new that could be done with Skyrim magic. And then this mod shows up and blows all those expectations out of the water again. And as a fan of stuff like Windstald Mine, the Noble House mod has me intrigued to be sure. Especially as I no longer use mods like Immersive Creatures and such, which often gave issues due to their new spawns in places like that. I know a specific bandit spawn that camps in a certain farm's forge for example...

MY FAV. 1: REVAK's RIFT 2: Unrestricted enchanting 3: Enhanced smithing 4: Ordinator 5: Merchant stand/merchant mod it puts a merchant stand in front of your owned houses in the holds that will allow you to sell items it is quest related so it takes time before you can sell everything prevent you from becoming too rich too quick. Of course you have to own a home and have a 1000 gold to buy it plus you could hire someone or have your own companion sit at the stand but someone must be there for your goods to be sold.

@@Hare_deLune Hm lets think about this for a moment. Why cant a Developer waste thousend of hours on one Game that it become perfect ? Oh no wait thats actualy the answer. Also sure there are some amazing Mods for the game but for every 1 goo Mod there are also 100 Fails or abadoned projects. And its a difference if you invest your own free time creating Mods without having a ticking clock and you have to care about time and money or if you are a paid Dev who only have limited time to finish its work.
