Oh come on, the best part of Skyrim is stitching together a hodgepodge of random mods for a play through just to spend the next several hours opening and closing Skyrim, tweaking INIs, remembering about that one mod and then adding several more in the process of finding that one you wanted. The when it crashes you sigh and troubleshoot until it’s stable... and maybe then you’ll be satisfied, but no, of course you won’t. So you browse the nexus and find a new mod that you like and boom, it crashes. I love Skyrim

You missed the most time-consuming risk/reward mod out there: Death Alternative adds dozens of new failure states that can cause you to be captured, rescued, or revived, sometimes causing you to lose an entire day as you sleep off your injuries. This punishes a risky playstyle by causing you to waist even more time by rushing through a dungeon and getting yourself injured instead of loading saves until you find the best way to speedrun it. Here's a cool idea based on this concept: Adding additional timers for the DLCs. Once you join a side in the Dawnguard questline, you have a timer start that will count down the days until Harkon acquires Auriel's Bow. This means that Harkon will kill Valerica and use her blood along with the bow to enact his Tyranny of the Sun, meaning every day will have the sun blocked out, the Dawnguard will be destroyed if you didn't destroy yourself by siding with the vampires and doing that quest, the Volkihar vampires will finger you and Serana as traitors and will become hostile even if you sided with them, and vampires will start attacking indiscriminately all across Skyrim. Now, the only way you can save the day is to attack Castle Volkihar all on your own, with only Serana to help you. Harkon will keep Auriel's Bow on his person at all times, so the only way to get it is to kill him, and that means the fight will be much harder without it. On top of that, Harkon will have killed Gelebor, so no Sunhallowed arrows for you. Another timer will start on Solstheim when you first encounter Miraak. This timer will count down the days until Miraak returns to Solstheim. When he does, everyone on Solstheim will become hostile since they'll all be under Miraak's spell, his cultists will appear all over Skyrim, attacking settlements indiscriminately, and you'll have to go to Miraak's temple, where he will be found in its depths, to banish him back to Apocrypha. This will release everyone from his spell, but you will have to release the standing stones again to continue progressing the Dragonborn questline. Another cool thing to possibly add would be the idea that, if the Miraak is on Solstheim and the Alduin timer runs out, there could be a 50% chance that Miraak will defeat Alduin for you since he claimed that he could do it himself. However, if this happens, you will never be able to learn any more of the Shouts associated with the main quest, since you will fail every main quest.
@esotericjahanism5251 Жыл бұрын
The author of this mod also did the dawn guard questline too. But rather than a cutscene and game over message the sun gets shot out and eternal night falls over tamriel and vampires infinitely spawn. You don't lose right away you can struggle to survive in the vampire Apocalypse but as time passed the vampires levels scale higher and higher and so do the numbers. He also has a merged version of both of these

I am doing a Skyrim vr run with this and it is going amazing. Literally living in Skyrim trying to survive and save the world is amazing. In addition to this i recommend 3 mods to add more immersions. Mortal armors- this mod adds a very well done armor durability system as well as fitted armors. Fitted armors means you if you are a tiny elf you can wear armor that a orc was wearing you have to refit it to wear it. (Loverslab mod) Honed Metal- This mod adds blacksmithing and other task that you can hire npcs to do while you take care of a few things. You can ask blacksmith to craft armor then go out hunting for food for the day. You come back into town and your armor is now ready for you. (nexus Mod) Burden of Skyrim- This mod adds in a strength metric to armor and weapons. You are a brand new adventure you can not expect to wield a giant two handed axe with ease. So you work your way up. You must build strength by using a one hand till you hands are strong enough to hold that heavy axe. Same concept with Armor as well. This adds a slow progression for warriors and is very customizable to get to the comfort level you want. It stacks well with 'Pump it up' and 'Signature Weapons. '
