THE FUTURE OF DLSS This AI technology does not yet have as a reference the real geometry of the game or other more accurate game information data, everything is based on the final frame delivered by the game, there is still much to evolve, this is just the beginning.

What? You're telling me that in a year or two we could generate at least 60 1080p images in 1 second? That is impossible. It is not a software limitation but a hardware one. The fastest PCs can at most generate 4 high quality AI images in 2 seconds. We are FAR from this.

This is already doable in games, was working on a project a few years ago now which was doing this albeit a bit more primitively but in real time. The best way to do this right is to take the game assets and use them as part of the dataset/weights, then you define the style workflow so things like photorealist/pixar/vray/etc which can then be called as a prompt, from there you run the game engine at the lowest possible settings leaving only the basic info to be drawn on, you can also run the game at say 480 or 720p then use reconstruction and DLSS to output to any arbitrary resolution. The biggest limitation I have run into doing such things is VRAM and it doesn't look like we will be seeing massive VRAM jumps any time soon. Sadly my projects in those regards are still under NDA but studios and companies are doing this in real time, Runway is a good teaser though for what is coming soon.
@Redsword6032 ай бұрын
Oh dang. Yeah, a game having this type of graphics done in real time would require a massive amount of VRAM that I don't think even the 24gb VRAM would be enough for it. Despite the graphical improvements for gaming, we'll still be pretty limited when it comes to VRAM. But I do say the moment this can be done in real time. This is gonna revolutionary for gaming and modding. The days of graphical limitations like polygons will finally be over and our games will finally be at the same level from movies like Avatar and Bayformers movies.

The network just does guessing work on finished frames. This will not get much better until you pass buffer and labeling info from the engine directly to the neural networks. Also, training data has do be specifically tailored to each game to get good (or even predictable) results.

Great work, btw! I just discovered your videos about 15 minutes ago and I'm obsessed.

I can see a near future when this is getting heavily consistent. You can try multiple iterations with some of the great models out there, such as Kling, Luma or Runway. It could take a lotta hell of time but it is worth the challenge of testing it for a video of few seconds.

It's good but I feel that an actual AI game engine would need active upscaling and an AI sub-system like with AI agents to check for consistentcy or accuracy like only letting an output go that's 80% accurate or close to the original so that it's actually playable.
@mariusg882421 күн бұрын
I am pretty sure you wouldn't train the AI in real time. Take the trained model, freeze its seeds, ship it with the game. Yes, artifacts will slip through Q&A, but I think it's manageable.
