what is that black effect on the right? starting in 1:50? you can see that when u have oculus? or only on video?

Only in video, I recorded video through oculus , it glues two squares together and a black bar appears that you don't see in the game. In addition, this video was recorded with 30 fps and when you play, VD trying to draws for you 120 frames and the picture is smoother.

What can i expect on performance on a modded Skyrim VR? : CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X GPU: RX 6700 XT 12GB RAM: 32GB DDR4 3600Mhz

For referance I play on a laptop (and your desktop is significantly more powerful) with a Ryzen 7 7735HS, RTX 4060, DDR5 4800Mhz and I get a very very playable experiance with no lag and stutter and I use the Wabbajack FUS mod list. For great FPS and great anti-alising I would use the FSR mod, so so worth it! You should find no issue running it at playable FPS.

I use a program that installs everything automatically, Mod list name Tahovin, and second good modlist name - Minimalistic, im also use random mods from nexus and combination.

Hello. Today I ordered quest 3 for Skyrim. I have never worn a virtual reality headset. I think it will be fun. The question is why Skyrim is so demanding on PC resources that 4090 is not enough. Or is it a matter of mods, specifically this build?

They probably use the highest graphics quality, so that does affect it. What is your videocard? In VR we are unfortunately still at the point where you can max out your hardware very easily, so the better your graphics card, the smoother it will work. Personally, for VR I would recommend to get at least 4080, I have 3080 and while some games are optimized well and run fine, mods are too demanding. I will probably get 5080 when that releases to play through modded games.

Oh, thank you so much! So, what's your go-to? I've been experimenting with vortex, but vortex doesn’t work with everything especially when some mods need specific things to work. Most just refuse to cooperate, and I end up unintentionally wreaking havoc on my files. XD it's safe to say I'm not in the market for any naughty mods, but I'm absolutely desperate for that physics mod, an overall graphics boost, and that one mod all the cool KZbinrs use to grab and yeet people. Hello. It depends on personal preferences. Currently, I use Steam Link because with it there is slightly less distortion, but at the same time, there is less latency.

Not worth for me. Quest 2 already has a lot of headsets and batteries, q3 has nothing and it costs a lot of money to buy everything again "just for a slightly better display"

No, If you have a good internet go for it. Way better than airlink ( VD doesnt work via usb only wifi) I have a 400mb 5ghz Internet and get about 39ms of latency and If you want to usb with USB with cable link stay with the default.

@@StainSocial Wrong. VD requirement of Steam VR is why virtual link is inferior for many games such as skyrim VR. Open Compsite + Airlink provides so much more free peformance on the table nearly 30% in testing.. that you end up much better off with airlink and can drive much higher res with lower latency.

It's a shame they dont include displayport over usbc on thise headsets. Latency and artifacts on fast moving games (race and fps) are a deal brake to me.

@@dharkbizkit They are not going make money having a DP port on these headsets, standalone apps is where the money is at and airlink/usb streaming is more of way to appease PCVR users at least. A Pro version perhaps in the future will have DP support. The Pico 5 Pro Max will support DP
