Getting priced out of staples is getting priced out of competitive.

I imagine multiplayer will be d&d esque with campaigns built around the lore. Hopefully this will create a new demand for cards that were once highly sought after, like my first Skullcap that I paid $150

One of the thing that bothers me about those chase cards M staples is that theyre either 1. Good blue utility cards. Meaning that you can either happily pitch them and they have a very useful effect, but a LOT of them also blocks for 3. Almost no downsides. Also, 2. The reds have just super threatening on hits and most of them ALSO block for 3. It makes them so efficient that the cheaper "replacements" are not only weaker by a mile offensively with their effect (being very specific), but 1/3 their blocking value, which makes them almost not playable to a certain point of competition. Where are the good yellow staples? Where are the uncontested 2 block staples? (Side note - nasty surprise might be a good inclusion vs Codexes decks for warriors because you can make very good use of all 3 tokens)

I have a Dash I/0 deck which is probably the cheapest competitive deck rn but the price of CNC and E strike completey turned me away from building the competitive version of any decks like Ira or Aurora which I made casual builds for. I actually put that money towards decks for a different game instead as the value proposition was just much better. And when they dont reprint these cards obviously this issue isn't going to get better.
