Bro this guide made Dhalsim click for me! Started off with C. L punch into EX yoga fire, then after I started to teleport and slowly build upon the combo until I could make it to the grab part, and now he just clicks , back medium kick into EX yoga blast into Supers and now I’m having a blast trying to combo 😂 made the game so much more fun! 1:31 this is the part where I practiced till I got it down

This is amazing, I can tell you've put a tonne of work in to this. I'm at Gold with Ken now just from very casual play, and I think I can make it in to plat if I practice more. But this is really the first time Dhalsim as a character has been appealing to me. I like that he can rush down but also play defensively.

great video! one other helpful tip. going into float after EX yoga comet (air fireball) is useful as people tend to start trying to jump forward over it to avoid teleport mix. you can easily land a jump strong or jump roundhouse when they do! also another fun corner pressure tool is meaty yoga flame > crouch back forward > heavy yoga arch, use medium flame off of throw or heavy off of yoga blast > sweep

Thanks so much for this guide, it’s perfect , was looking for a beginner basic flowchart to learn from so I don’t develop bad habits , instead of a guide that JUST tells me huge combos , want to learn pokes, setups, game plans , and a basic flowchart 50/50 mixup combo that I can almost nonstop loop into , telling us when to teleport is awesome! I’ve been trying to find a good Fire flowchart to keep people zoned out , aka Slow yoga fire , fast yoga comet into EX yoga arch then a yoga flame to prioritize space to really wall them out, this is a great guide to build good habits , like the teleport combo or slide into back heavy EX yoga flame into Super , the EX yoga flame really leveled me up and helped me learn how to combo into Supers , having a blast learning him now , was torn in between Sim JP and Deejay , but I feel like Dhalsim is the most “yoshimitsu “ type character so I started off learning him and kinda just sticking with it, I like high skill ceiling/glass cannon characters,when I get home I’m gonna practice the Teleport combo for muscle memory and how to do the 50/50 mixup combo between ending with grab or float heavy kick into loop again 😊, also need to practice teleport back into medium punch for spacing , and REALLY get down anti airs ,I’ll feel accomplished and maybe ready for ranked if I can do the teleport combo into EX yoga flame AND 50/50 combo, also really need to practice DR combos , just learning that it’s a good habit to DR from lower back heavy punch and back medium kick are good mental notes , I got a long way to go for sure 😂 , but finally think I’m gonna main Sim and invest , also got a Hori fighting commander octo , still adjusting from starting off learning Xbox controller into this new controller 😅, need to try to heavy kick more aswell, I think the new mixup combo will help me use heavy kick 10x more

With Dhalsim: Nirvana Punch > H. Yoga Blast = Easy meterless 20% damage knockdown combo. Great if used as a counter or punish, especially when preceded by Drive Impact with opponent in the corner, and followed up by a Karma Kick for a hard knowdown and frame advantage.

You will get used to it overtime. I struggled with the same thing when I started with Sim

​@@Ladewaybac However, executing a back+down+heavy punch followed by a yoga flame seems to be a more achievable task when aiming for consistency. there is something with timings.... It's unfortunate because the back kick and yoga flame combo is essential for Sim, as I understand.

I have this constant issue with sim where when I hit a punish counter with 1 + HP, the follow up drive rush never comes out event though I do it. This has been consistent online. Many of sims normal to special moves cancels do not work smoothly online

I manage to do the full loop multiple times in training but I always struggle to land it on real matches, my teleport ALWAYS gets punished, if they don't throw a fireball at me it's impossible to start the loop, they always press any button when I teleport and I get punished, any advice ? How or when I'm suppossed to use this loop ? Thanks bro, awesome video!

Doing raw teleport without a knock down first is pretty dangerous once u get to diamond 2 to master. I suggest only doing it when u have a hard read on the opponent

Inputs is wacked out in this game online thou. Everytime I do that drive rush combo Dhalsim does V Skill float by accident when it should be Yoga Fire.....yet in training mode I land it successfully most of the time.
