Naz however was a great British fighter but could be a horrible arrogant prick back in his day .However over the last few years he seems a nicer person and more down to earth.

This man is a inspiration to me. He's the only true rebel I've ever seen. He's prim and proper but he would still whip anyone anytime anywhere in a sharp suit and still come out looking fresh. He speaks like a teacher and has so much self respect but nobody would have guessed he comes from the streets. A True inspiration for someone like me

Can’t hate this guy.. who can explain it better? No one. I was so privileged in the amateurs to share the ring and many many training sessions, runing and sprits session with JR and every time his father came to our gym was just incredible. He once told me your duty as a fighter isn’t just to be a champion in boxing but in life in its self. Never forget those words from him.

Glad he holds his defeat against Thompson ( 2nd) so important in winning the hearts of the people. I was there that night. I went to see him beaten. As did a lot of people. He used to wind folk up with his nonsense. But we left huge fans of his. I remember one segment in particular. Thompson had hammered him. Busted him up and caught Chris with another huge shot. Eubank rocked back,almost doubled over,we thought that’s it,he’s had enough. Then as Thompson came in,Eubank sprung up and landed a vicious uppercut. Honestly it changed right there. Hairs on end moment. You saw the entirety of his character right then. Turned out to be his last fight. Glad I was there to witness the man.

I think he has a few IQ points above average at best but he has a strong system of thought and self reflection which over the years has allowed him to accumulate knowledge (and vocabulary) in a very functional way. Couple that with a great boxing career and an eclectic and sometimes terrible dress sense... He's definitely one of life's more interesting characters; and I think he's fantastic.

the older I get the more i resonate with what Eubank sr says about pugilism. The man has so much knowledge of the game, and for someone who was a brawler he achieved so much more than what was expected of him at the start of his career. A true legend.
