So basically Benns camp did everything they could to unsettle Eubank because of their own ineptitude and then still lost . Eubank was always better than Benn

I actually was thinking the same, as a fan of Benn I often wonder during his fight with Gerald Mac clennan was his on the juice?? His fake collapse after leaving the ring would make one wonder??

Nigel Benn was the most exciting British fighter ever. Bob Arum called him the British Marvin Hagler because just like Hagler he was a destruction and destroy animal of a fighter. Loved his big fight with Watson in 89 and with Iran Barkley and Chris Eubanks in 1990. Benn really showed his Gladitorial heart when he fought Gerald MacCllen in 95🥊

Benn put me off having a tattoo as he didn't have his back one shaded in as it hurt too much. If it hurts for Benn, I've no chance!

I agree. Although I would say that Calzaghe was the generation after Eubank and Benn. Yes he fought Eubank but Eubank was at the end of his career then. Benn, Eubank, Collins and Michael Watson were of the same generation. I never knew that Collins fought Mike McCallum either.

Honestly benn took the fight to eubank, now I might be bias coz benn is from da manor but I just loved his style dont 4get benn fought the best and biggest names in u.s.a I.e Iran barkley (round 1 tko) Doug de Witt to win title (over in America) eubank fought mainly in Britain, dont get me wrong eubank is a living legend but look at the fight against mcclellan that benn had godbless gerald by the way but anyway what an era of British boxers and to think I grew watching these on normal t.v! (The big fight) oh man and the intro music! Those are the days my bro

When Benn was emotionally detached and had no feelings of hate towards his opponent, real hate like towards Eubank, he fought so much better. Like against DeWitt and Barkley. He was brilliant in those 2 fights. Galvano as well.

@mrkipling2201 benn may of won this fight if he'd kept control of his weight. I thought he won the 2nd fight when he was better prepared. At the end of the day it's benns fault. It's his job to check his weight. Great fight though and a great era for British boxing.
