Durham should have been on the two year transition not Yorkshire. The ECB was worried that Durham would be at great risk of a poor showing after two years hence they took Yorkshire out of the equation to give Durham a chance by simply shipping the current players to the other half of the Northen Diamonds partnership which was not really a half as most of the work was done by Yorkshire. It is all every well for Lydia to speculate on adjudicators thinking the Yorkshire bid fell down in some way but so far NO details of shortcomings have come out. All we have had is Pope Richard Gould's ridiculous comments on past sins not being relevant and now some myserious reference to issues around governance when the period is reduced to one year. To me this remark seems to contradict the past sins edict as it seems to say we are holding them back because we are worried about their supposed naughtiness inflamed by moral panic of those whom I shall not name. Try not to write about this wihtout including the phrase *they seem to be making it up as they go along* and you have more politeness than I can muster.

the wicket needs to be shorter for the womens game, bring it down to 17-18 yards, as their little legs arnt good enough to run 22 yards, allowing them to sprint 2`s more often and turning 2`s into 3`s, the boundary rope although it is brought in already it needs to be more. The physical difference between the men, who are regularly 6 ft plus against most of the ladies averaging 5.6ft, needs to be made more fare for them to play to their abilities. Lastly they need to play full 4 day games regularly rather then limited over games, increasing their skill set and stamina.

@@jamesleacy8534 Is it? Women on the average are smaller than men. There is a physical difference. You can't dismiss as nonsense when it's true. I don't know how you allow for that - not sure 18 yard wickets are a good idea. The ropes are already brought in.

At club level many women and girls compete in men's competitions with great success even outclassed them. They're faster between the wickets, can bowl just as effectively (speed isn't everything) and some have just as good if not better throws than the men they're playing with and against. Your comments are outdated and ill informed.
