Stirling Moss reached the pinnacle! He could drive many cars and win in virtually all disciplines. He was the most versatile driver in the history of the sport Winning the F1 Championship does not make you a great driver.. As a complete driver,man and gentleman he reached the pinnacle.

AP Alph f1 is the pinicle of sports he would have had 2 championships but one he argued that his rival should not have gotten a penalty and another he lost by a couple points

@@TinyBearTim I know in my opinion I rate him higher than Jackie Stewart but still in my book Jim Clark and Lewis are still better but he is probably the best sportsman out of any legend of the great sport - no one would ever let a rival win out of pure kindness

A person who can give up a victory on the basis of principle says a lot about that persons character but equally the extreme confidence they have in their ability too. Stirling, what made you soo popular among all the public wasn’t just your fast driving and incredible memories, but you were simply a no nonsense quality bloke! And may I say that you were a true blessing to this planet from the Gods of Speed!🙏

Brilliant documentary Damon, didn’t realise he had that big crash at Goodwood, great names mentioned like Fangio and Ascari. Moss, the first successful British Formula One racing driver never to win the title, which teaches me it’s not the numbers that count!

Sterling captured my imagination when I was a youth- he was what a racing driver should be, young, daring, personable and good with the ladies. I had the pleasure of meeting him at an historic race in Palm Springs back in the 80’s. Just standing at the wall, watching the track workers cleaning up a totaled Lotus 23 the stranger next to me said- in a thick British accent- “that’s a crime to waste one of those.” I looked at him and immediately recognized him. He loved the Watneys I had in my ice chest. To a life well lived! RIP

Damon in the 60ts my dad brian burnham king was very involved in f1 at tha east London track south Africa, I remember your dad,Stirling moss,Jack brabham, graham hill,john surtees,jim Clark and others at regular drinks parties during that where held at our house mike burnham king
