Australia is the perfect cricketing country. The weather is great, in England.. its not. People play 3 months a year. In Aus, they haven't started making masculinity 'toxic' too badly, they still value sports VERY highly (if you asked 100 random people in England who the captain of the cricket team is I'd pit money on less than 5 knowing the answer). In England 88% of schools play football, less than 6% play cricket. Aussies are at the peak of their country, and they're damn good at a lot of valuable things.

you are not entirely wrong, as long as you keep bowling between the wickets and keep hitting the ball with the bat, you can make the rest of the rules as per the game needs, the main rules for dismissal and maximum runs can be same but all the others can be manipulated to your style and need ;)
