I just used this on my 2nd car that I’m to lazy to mess with a full sealant with. I washed it with Reset first then rinsed it off. Foamed it with HydrO2 Foam & rubbed it all in by hand, rinsed it. This stuff is amazing!!!

Hey Corey, this is one the CarPro products I've never tested. For me it is to expensive because of the high dilution ratio (I can't understand why CarPro doesn't release a price attractive sealant shampoo like the Gyeon Bathe+). The best way for me to add quick a little sealant after the hand wash and wet surface is to spray the Hydro2 Lite (I dilute it 1:1 with clean water) directly in the water jet (not on the surface). In the right hand I hold the pressure washer and in the left the Hydro2 spray bottle. That works absolute fantastic, no issue's with high spots or so. BIG THANKS Corey!!❤

Used this for the first time this morning as an option to prevent me from having to wipe down the whole car. Washed the car (2 bucket method) with Reset and rinsed really well. Then added 3.2oz to my foam cannon and foamed the entire vehicle. Took a clean wash mitt and wiped every panel and then rinsed it really well with the pressure washer. Finally took an Ego blower and dried the car. Looks great and it adds a really nice bit of pop. As someone who has Cquartz UK3 on my vehicle, I also have Reload and Elixir, I'm curious if Hydro2Foam would replace my 90 day applications of Reload. I may have purchased too many products, hahah.

Hahah! Yes, you can replace the Reload with Hydro2 Foam as future maintenance product if you prefer it.

100% the best sealant out there. I’m a professional mobile detailer and it is my favorite sealant to use, like, ever. Wash with descale, clay with iron x snow soap to get decon fully done in one step, then foam and rinse with hydro2foam. Best money maker out there

I don’t see why most people are hating in the comments, I have used quick beads, Wetcoat, and 303. Hydro2 foam is by far the easiest in my opinion (I use it in a foam cannon) and uses less product.

I agree! And the glosssiest! It really impresses me. I have seen probably 20 imitators come out since 2013 after Hydro2. So many times since then I have heard someone say "X is better" or "X is just as good!" etc, I went and bought whatever product they were talking about and tested it and every time it was not even a patch on the gloss or beading that I get from Hydro2 products. The only negative comment below that I think is valid is shelf stability in the heat. For sure not a product you want to store in the sun or heat for long.

I love the Carpro brand, don't get me wrong. I just finished a bottle of Hydro2 Foam. I just think for this product, DIY Detail Quick Beads, Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Flex Wax or 303 Brand Touchless Sealant might be better overall, especially for the money.

Thanks for watching and the comments! Wow, I have used a few of those and do not see ANYWHERE near the gloss or resiliency that I see with the CARPRO Hydro2 line. As long as you find what works best for you, thats what matters.

Thank you for the video I love CarPro products I swear by it to detail my vehicles. Question for you, how often should we apply HydroFoam? I’m in Miami you mention 3 months protection. Should I apply every 3 months or after every wash if possible for ultimate protection? Thank you.
@SkyCarCare

Thanks for watching! I would say that using it every wash is overkill but you can if you want. It wont hurt anything. Personally I would do it at least every 3 months if you want to put a time on it. (I am in Orlando area). If you are near the beach and not garaged then maybe 1x per month. The easiest rule of thumb I would say is just use it whenever you feel like its not as nice as you want it to be.

I do the bucket method. Years ago, I didn’t run clean water thru the foam cannon after using HydroFoam, and the nozzle clogged up because of the silica in the shampoo. Oops. Never again.

The instructions on the bottle say to dilute 1:9 for a bucket wash. That means you need to put about 48 ounces (!) of HydroFoam in 4 gallons of water. That must be a typo.
@SkyCarCare
@SkyCarCare 5 ай бұрын
It is not a typo assuming you want to use it as a sealant. You would never really want to use 4 gallons of water with Hydrofoam. If you are just trying to wash your car then you are better off with Reset. In that case you just use 1 ounce of Reset in a bucket. Hydrofoam excels far more as a sealant so you do not need a lot of water. Really, using it in a bucket is the least useful way to fo it but if you do then there are TWO options... A. - Mix 4 ounces of Hydrofoam in a bucket with about 36 ounce of water. Then you can dip your mitt in there. The best way to use Hydrofoam is as shown in the video with a foam cannon or applying directly to a wet mitt. B. - Use just an ounce or two and a few gallons water but understand you will NOT get any sealant action, just a wash. (no real point in using it this way)

Good video Corey, I've been using this since it came out years ago, I basically use it as a topper for reload, so easy and protection usually lasts 3 months. I have used it as a stand alone, but surface must be washed/clayed first for it to bond correctly. I couldn't wear black in that Florida heat 😂 All the best my friend.

1:30 That was 5 squirts, my friend. 6:56 That was 10 squirts, my friend. 😅 This product seems really really pointless and wasteful. If you want to stick with the CarPro brand, then HydrO2 Wipeless sealant is the answer. It is so easy to apply and effective as a spray on spray off that I don't know why they ever created this HydrO2 Foam "soap" to begin with.
@SkyCarCare
@SkyCarCare 29 күн бұрын
Hahah! I get such a kick out of that video watching it back :). Hilarious! Anyway... The way I use it is to simply apply with a wash mitt. Easy peasy and works GREAT! It is wasteful putting it in a bucket - I agree 100%. Hydro2 Lite (the spray on rinse off version of Hydro) is fast becoming a favorite as well now that it is more idiot proof.

I can't believe you don't want to wash the car completely before even attempting to put Hydro2 on it. I would want to use the Hydro2 as a sealant, not double duty as a soap. And yes, I watched the whole video.

I am glad you watched the entire video! In that case you heard me specifically state that I would recommend to wash the car before sealing it as well. I then stated something feels very wrong to me about sealing a car without washing it first. Since we have a HUGE variety of customers with a HUGE variety of goals and orientations of detail we like to show all of the things you CAN do rather than only our personal preference. Thats very interesting! I am quite curious about all the variables in your situation. If you shoot us over an email detailing what is on the car beneath the Hydrofoam, the environment your in, and any other details, then we can probably figure out whats causing that. Have you tried Dr. Beasleys Bead coat? That is another one we have had insane durability with. If you are having trouble with both Hydrofoam and Bead Coat then there is something wrong with your water/prep. or something is landing on the car and ruining the beading. Sometimes people are near mineral refineries or something like that where fine mist of particles mess up their water beading quickly. In any case, send us an email and we will be happy to help you. Troubleshooting by ruling out some things in an apples to apples scenario will also help you figure it out. If after troubleshooting you cannot figure out how to make it work for you then you should most certainly reach out to where you purchased it for a refund and return.

I agree, don't see any advantage over the spray on. But Hydrolite is better than wetcoat, last longer and beads better, give it a try.

@@Oher58 I've been using Wetcoat and HydrO2Foam for a couple years now. Wetcoat seems to be more durable but not much (upto 3-4 months instead of 2.5-3.5 months), and the HydrO2Foam is glossier and slicker to the touch. The biggest difference is the Carpro will foam so it's a lot easier to see where you've applied and rinsed, and seems to get into crevices like grille trim a lot better.
