August 2018 when I visited Düsseldorf, I wanted to ride the SkyTrain, but I had to decide between either that or the Wuppertal Schwebebahn from Vohwinkel to Oberbarmen. The day I went, about 2 or 3 PM it started to rain heavily in Oberbarmen so I had to cancel going to the Düsseldorf airport, since trains from Oberbarmen to Düsseldorf Hbf were being cancelled or severely delayed. Darn. I know that there is a similar suspended railway in Dortmund. Maybe I might go there in February 2023 when I return for the Karneval celebration in Cologne.
