I switched from Skywalk Mescal (enA) to Chili 5 after 3 seasons.Bit worried it might be a big step up from school wing, keep in mind in canada you can not try the wings so I had to go with my gut feeling. Few first flights in thermic conditions were pretty rough, since the chili is way more reactive, but after month or so I got a hang of it. Also, the glide ratio is was bigger compared to Mescal. With Mescal I was able to top land almost anwhere, with Chili I had to re-learn how land haha. 2024 was my first season with Chili 5 and I love it. Thermaling, air speed and staying afloat is actually the biggest advantage of this wing.

So what glider would give similar performance and safety of a high B-glider but with more agility…. Tequila 4 had me spoiled in fun factor. What do you step up to and keep the fun feeling?
@flybubblecarlo2 жыл бұрын
Imho, the Phi Maestro. Like it's bigger brother/sister, the Allegro, the Maestro is very agile and has a high fun factor. For pilots looking for a good step up from the Tequila 4, the Maestro could be the perfect choice for many. See our video and written reviews of all of these wings.
@erinchillmusic89302 жыл бұрын
@@flybubblecarlo thanks Carlo, actually, after Tequila 4, I have been flying a Rush5 for about two years now and while I appreciate the performance, I miss the “connected” feeling that I had with Tequila. So I guess the question what do you step up into to combine Rush5 performance and safety but have the fun feeling. Considering Delta4 but I don’t need the C class performance. Fun factor is higher priority. Would you still say Maestro is a good fit?
@flybubblecarlo2 жыл бұрын
@@erinchillmusic8930 Yes I would, absolutely. Whilst a very good high B wing in its time, the Rush 5 is rather dampened and more on the solid and reassuring side of high B wings than fun and feeling. It's a good first high B wing (for those who prefer solid and reassuring). By the way, the Chili5 is more fun and responsive than the Rush 5, but it turns flatter and more efficiently than the Tequila 4, which was quite rolly (actually a little unstable in roll, which makes the handling more fun but is not ideal for the class). Compared to the Delta 4, which is a very good mid C wing (some clearly love it), the Maestro is more agile and fun to fly, and the performance is very close, with significantly lower pilot demands (although the Maestro actually feels more sporty - gives more feedback, with nippier handling - than the Delta 4). Hope this helps. (BTW, in case you've not seen, the Maestro 2 is coming soon. I've not yet flown it, but look forward to testing it.)

@@flybubblecarlo Thank you so much! I’ll wait to see your (flybubble) report and review of Maestro 2 to see if it retained it’s fun agility feeling and then decide to go for the new or get the old stock Maestro. You guys are the greatest, keep up the good, honest work!

Thanks, interesting review that would be more complete if you were mentionning the references of the "more sporty, more agile, high B gliders" (do you mean Iota, Rush....?), it would help to have a clear view on the gliders on offer. Could you let us know?
@flybubblecarlo2 жыл бұрын
Hi Eddy. Glad you found this free Flybubble review video interesting. Sure we could make our reviews even more complete by comparing them to other current models - we have flown many of them - and other things besides. However then these videos would take even more time to create - time we don't have spare - and they might never get finished at all. No one pays us to make these reviews, which cost us a great deal of time and money to produce - all funded by Flybubble, and Nancy and I do all of this work for free (of course helps promote our business, otherwise we could not justify doing it at all). Despite the Flybubble channel having over 116K subscribers, hardly anyone donates anything as thanks and to support us making these videos. This is partly why we have the advertising turned on (which only contributes a small fraction of the cost of making these videos). We do offer much more detailed expert info including direct comparisons of current models and personal recommendations to Flybubble customers choosing to buy their wings, harness and reserves from us via our Flybubble MATCH service flybubble.com/flybubble-match-service

All else being equal, the high B CHILI5 is a bit more agile and sporty feeling than the mid B ARAK. Big ears stability and recovery are quite similar: good; easy. The middle of high B? Hello my name is Daniel and I fly a low high B glider. Xalps and xc version, of corse. Or is it just a high mid B wing? I am confused. What if we just call them B gliders and describe the flying behavings without using to many underclasses? By the why, nice video!
@flybubblecarlo2 жыл бұрын
We describe as best we can to try and help pilots better understand (it's not so easy, even with many years of experience in testing wings - try it for yourself and see the feedback you get from pilots!). In terms of pilot demands it's a high B wing (not a mid B) with - to narrow this down a little further, since the pilot demands of high B wings varies a lot - pilot demands around the middle of the high B class (perhaps even slightly lower than this). From our comparison testing, some other current high B wings have significantly higher pilots demands e.g. Ozone Rush 6 and Gin Explorer 2 (and we suppose the new standard weight version of this, the Gin Avid also).
