I thought the EXACT same thing. Like, the resemblance is uncanny and so well done. That almost fencer-style pose is 100% A New Hope and Return of the Jedi Obiwan and Luke, respectively, style that we only see in the original trilogy. That and yeah, I was going to say, the way the duelist moved was spot on compared to Luke's footwork. His general moveset of how he maneuvers is about as close as you can get. So well done...

So it's not just me!!! I was thinking last week about how when ROTJ came out how all the merchandise, all the costuming and fonts end just everything about the film as well for me was something special. I can't explain the aura it all gave off. But the red font, seeing Luke in the black and that green lightsaber. I know I'm going to upset some people but the Lightsabers in Jedi were, and for me, still are, the best looking blades from SW on film. Not to take away anything from the incredible CG artists who worked on the Second Trilogy, but the combination of real sets, real physical aliens, and the almost noir-ish palette used in Jedi just make it, for me, my favorite film out of them all. I don't mind about the Ewoks. I called my Teddy Bear Ewok when that movie came out, so yeah, not a problem. Sorry to rant ,but it's just so serendipitous someone else mentioned the look of the film.

@thalmoragent9344 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, he wasn't a typical, old order Jedi. That's what made him better than most of their Knights and even Masters. Few of the Old Jedi Order could've stood against him. Mace, Plo-Koon, Yoda, and of course Anakin would've been his only contest. Still, a full potential Anakin would've definitely been more than a match for a full potential Luke.
@fatman123526 Жыл бұрын
The typical, old order Jedi generally were reluctant to fight and went into a fight after all other options were exhausted. Detached ruthlessness is a good way to describe Luke in ROTJ, but that's after being trained by a bitter Obi-Wan and Yoda who both wanted him to be a vengeful weapon to destroy the sith. They taught him to not let his emotions overwhelm him, but Luke arrived at trying to save Anakin on his own. Luke in ROTJ is very gray. Work towards good/balance, but doesn't always get hung up in the methods. A full potential Anakin wins hands down based on ferocity, focus, and instinct. I think Mace is generally a tie as Mace is a bit technically more proficient, but he always feared falling if he gave into his full instincts. Yoda wins more often than not based on patience and experience.

honestly this is all i want from star wars sick lightsaber duels. and space battles! With a sprinkle of decent story telling i dont need much just a good vs evil arc.

It's crazy how accurate this is to Luke's style! Wait to see what the opponent does, parry until you have an opening, then finish. Great video!

Wow, so many subtle details in that choreography, it was just beautiful. I really appreciated the tiered combat that pushed a simple but powerful narrative forward while showcasing the dedication of a couple of really talented people. Bravo!

AAHH i am sorry for this play by play but the DAMN CHANGE IN THE BATTLE at 4:58?! WHAT, you could feel it, the change of hands, to Lukes advantage. Incredible

This really captured Lukes saber style from RotJ so well and added to it the sort of expertise years of additional training would have added on. I can only hope future releases will capture it so well. Excellent work.

From the choreography to the episode 6's music, it gives justice to luke's character!

Let's see: -Great dueling choreography -Beautiful soundtrack -Actually knowing how the Force and Lightsabers work My friend, you have won the "You Didn't F*ck This Up" award, which looks like an Oscar only nicer. It's better than the "You Done F*cked Up" award, which Disney kept winning for years now and looks worse than a Razzie Bottom line, it's great to see fans actually creating something wonderful that pays tribute to the source material. Luke Skywalker is my favorite character and he was done justice here. Thank you and keep up the great work. Plus you made Disney Star Wars look like trash. That's just icing on the cake.

And made the prequels look like trash too. If you're only comparing this to the sequels that is a looooooooooooooooooow bar my friend. You're basically insulting this video by comparing it to Disney lol.

That was pretty awesome!!! What gets me in many such films are the very short shots of the attacks, showing they either couldn't train long enough to do extended shots of a blaze of attacks ... or the editing made it look that way. I am SO happy to see a film where there are not just 1 or 2 long shots of strikes and counter strikes or with exceedingly repetitive ones (being more proof of laziness or whatever) ... but many and with multiple actors. It shows how detailed and dedicated you all were to making a quality film. And you did. Thank you very much!!!!
