I totally agree! It’s one of the only 5 platinums I have, I never try to platinum but fell in love with it and the story and even got the art book. I’m always jealous seeing those I sub to playing this for the first time, I wish I could again! I can’t wait for the sequel’s announcement.

Fun fact! The creative director as well as the game director were named ambassadors for the actual island of Tsushima! Their portrayal of the real-life island has been approved by the local government and that made tourism on the island skyrocket ever since! There are tons of locations that are meticulously recreated in the game!

The creative director would’ve been the one to research the locations and give the outline to the employees to actually create. So the reason it portrays the area so accurately is because of the director wanting it to and not wanting the game to just make it have the “feel” of what Tsushima is like. Yeah the actual designers made it, but they just do what they’re told, it’s thanks to the director that they made it accurate to the real thing

Yes, I wish more games would take a cue from this one for their trophies. You literally can get the platinum just playing and exploring the game. There aren't any nonsense trophies like "hop on one foot while balancing an arrow on your forehead when the moon is at its biggest in the night's sky".

This game plus Days Gone have been some of my absolute favorite platinums ever, they were so fun to get and nothing was too challenging. I loved in Days Gone the good heart that Deacon has and I loved that with Jin as well Getting the platinum for this game was a journey through this beautiful world, doing amazing things like haikus and rescuing crickets And the DLC (which has different dialog if you play it before or after finishing the story, I think it makes more sense after since it was released a year after the game came out) has even more experiences to have especially with animals I love this game a whole lot

I played this game day 1 on release, it was instantly one of my favorite games. Even today, the sound track still brings a tear to my eye, not only is it beautiful in context, but I listened to this ost during a very difficult time in my life, and so it still brings me a lot of comfort. This is legitimately one of the greatest games of all time. As others have said. I’d HIGHLY recommend doing AS MUCH as you can in this game. Take your time, explore some stuff, try out different combos and skills, and don’t worry about beating this game super quick. Not saying you need to 100% the game and take 60 hours on it, but don’t push to try and beat it in like 20. 40 is a great mix in my opinion.

What you should notice in the opening horseback riding scene is the clear display of Japanese humility. The game logo doesn't appear when the music reaches its peak, and the notes themselves don’t hit the 'climax' but instead return to lower tones, continuing the melody. Meanwhile, you're left wondering whether this is a cutscene or if you can control the character. The game is designed so that the horse naturally heads toward a river, prompting you to instinctively steer the controller to avoid it. This one scene alone showcases the developers' meticulous attention to detail.

This game for me when it released was game of the year for me game was absolutely stunning and loved every second of it like plenty of comments have said to you you are in for a treat and a rollercoaster of a ride and when you was on about hoping the story is as good as the intro of the game without spoiling anything I can confirm that the story is just as good as that intro keep a eye out for a yellow bird as they will take you to places of interest and also keep a eye out for meditation places there are loads across the map

I just finished watching the vid & I loveddd seeing you geek at out so much stuff 🤣🤣 The first few kills at castle kaneda and your hype on them, the standoffs (which is one of the best aspects in the game), the graphics, the opening title drop sequence. I loved your reaction to everything! Supplies definitely help in the long run when you need to upgrade stuff or craft something so always feel free to take your time looting areas. Same goes for checking out the map in general, it’s so easy to get lost in all the side stuff but it all contributes to getting technique points and getting upgrades for health etc. Absolutely excited to see the rest of this and especially when you get even better gameplay with future unlocks/techniques. You’re gonna love it way more and be so addicted

A good friend of mine swore to me that I had to play this back when I had taken a bit of a break from gaming (RDR2 basically ruined games for me bc I compared everything I played to it). I eventually came around and was blown away; it brought me back to gaming & is one of my favorite of all time. Nice pick Skyy 🫡! Ghost of Tsushima was the very 1st game I played on my PS5 in 2021, have played through story 3 times. Love the mythical paint type aesthetics too. It was my fave game until I played Red Dead 2 and now it’s my 3rd fave with God of War 2018 being my 2nd but this holds a lot of sentimental value as it was my 1st game I had played in almost a decade of not gaming. This is easily one of the best games of all time. One of the best and most emotional narratives I’ve seen from a non-RPG title. I cried so much and so hard in some places. It is a once in a lifetime type game. There could never be another that comes close to this. You are in for the experience of a lifetime. My advice: savor EVERY questline. Don’t rush yourself. I can’t tell you how many times I replayed this game and there is never a replay that comes within light years of the first experience
