2 Episodes and this is already one of my favorite playthroughs. It is also one of my favorite games to 100%, nothing feels like filler when the world is so beautiful and the characters are so engaging. The combat is so good much more elaborate than you would think, if you go into it with a hack and slash approach you will quickly find out how strategic you need to be especially when you are faced with multiple enemies at once.

The game was specifically made to be English, as the actors are all English-speaking and the original lipsynch was also English. While it is a game set in Japan, and I get that immersion may benefit from the localisation, there id no real other reason to switch language.

Sounds play an important part in the game - When an archer is firing a shot they'll scream dosho dosh before firing so you can evade or deflect, The same thing happens when an unexplored area is nearby a bird will start chirping and you can follow it to the area.
@sonalattapattu44024 ай бұрын
And the neat fact about the archers shouting dosho is not just to help you as a game mechanic, but they do it so they can warn their melee comrades to duck so they don’t accidentally get in the way of the shot. You can even see the melee attackers doing a quick duck when the archers shoot arrows. Super neat they added that

3 tips moving forward: 1. When attacking a base, always go for the higher ground. In this game you can pretty much climb on top of anything. Any structure is game. Definitely go for those 2. If you want to feel a bit more prepared for main tales (the gold icons), I would suggest doing side tales. Also take a long look at the menu, and it will help you a lot on determining which tales to do first. Blue icons (Mythic Tales) are the ones that I would suggest following the most! You will learn very powerful techniques, and the stories are really fun. 3. Traversing the world is incredibly fun, but sometimes can be a bit tedious. That's why this game's fast travel system is the best of the best. If you pass by any Landmark on the map, but don't have the time for it at the moment, you can always go back to the map and fast travel directly to that spot. This goes for places you have already visited before as well. I would highly suggest that. Bonus tip: Check out the photo mode! (Right on the D-Pad) This game seriously has one of the best photo modes out there

Jin Sakai's journey from an Honorable Samurai to The Ghost will always have a special place in my heart. His inner conflict is what imo makes this game one of the greatest of all time. My only problem with it was the repetitive camps, the lack of variety in boss battles & how they implemented Act III. Other than that this game was almost perfect. I hope they improve on that in the next game but overall this game was a 9/10 for me. Carried me through Covid lockdowns ❤ Definitely top 5 PS games of all time in my books

The Water Stance is effective against all enemies in the game. I recommend sticking to it to keep things simple for you. Finding as many hot springs, fox dens, and shrines as you can before tackling mongol bases will give you more health, more charms, and more practice avoiding enemies until you feel confident you can kill them quickly and/or quietly. Lastly, you'll need a LOT of "predator hides" for crafting upgrades for your armor when you start collecting sets, so boars and bears are "kill on sight". Good luck!

I started this game quite a while back and set it aside when Starfield was released. Watching episode 1 of this playthrough inspired me to give it another try and I'm really liking it. 24:15 Your attack on the fort when WAY better than mine. I'm only a little ways ahead of you so all the stuff you're doing now is what I was doing yesterday but you seem to be better at it. lol. While the end suffering thing is usually seen as the right thing to do, I think it's funny to think that if someone had done that for you the game would have ended on the beach. 47:50 The tale of Lady Adachi not only has some fun combat, you get new armor as a reward. Also, you can switch between the travelers clothes and armor instantly when you see enemies so you take less damage in combat while still getting the advantages of the travelers outfit while exploring. When upgrading skills, you might want to check lower down in the skill tree. Sometimes you might take a skill just to unlock one you really want. Arrow defense is handy. 1:02:00 That was an awesome battle. I've not yet encountered those big guys, but you handled that group like a champion. It's very entertaining to watch someone that fights that well. One move I don't think I've seen in your first 2 episodes is the thrust/stab. Hold triangle in the stone stance. dont sleep on the shrines. they give you many charms that completely alter your playing. there is one that allows health regen out of combat. it's called mending rock shrine charm of okuninushi. these are major charms and can only be placed in the top two slots minor charms will fill out the rest of your charm slots that are unlocked by doing all the fox dens you come across. Having only two major slots means you have to really pick which ones match the most important play style. For now i do recommend the healing one until you come accross ones you like more. look at the red castle icon on your map then place a waypoint just southeast from there you should see on the map where it says isonade coast. you can go there and get that charm. You will love this game so much. its very close to rdr2 for me as most impactful story. its also just incredibly fun once you get all your tools and stances. you feel badass later on. there is of course some filler moments as with all things but overall the story is phenominal. the ending will impact you i am sure.

Slow down, take your time, and be stealthy Jin! With regards to others imploring upon you to play with the language in Japanese, "for full immersion"; The devs actually originally intended the game to be played in English for best experience, but added the Japanese audio as an option to accommodate more ways to play the game. Even with the PS5 bringing in full lip syncing to the Japanese audio, (originally it wasn't and made it awkward to play with the Japanese audio), you actually don't receive the full game's experience in this mode. Later in the game, as you progress, you can overhear the towns people talking about you and how they feel about "The Ghost", which is quite interesting. In the Japanese audio mode these conversations are not subtitled like the main dialogs, so you actually end up missing out on a fun part of the game. The digital deluxe version gave you the horse you picked, but it also gave you the Hero of Tsushima armor set. You equipped the helmet and mask initially, in your last episode, but there was a body armor portion of the set as well that you missed when you first viewed this menu. As you'll find out, different armor and outfits give you different perks. So check them out as you go, they're not just cosmetic, (although I think hats and masks are simply cosmetic, but the body armor has the perks), and will benefit you in different ways and to suit your own play style. You can quickly change armor/outfits on the fly, whether to get the most out of exploration or the best benefits for each battle, and don't be afraid to do so. The Traveler's Armor you're wearing is great for exploration, but should only be used for that. It clears a bigger area of fog on your map as you travel, and of course, vibrates when you're close to collectibles. However, just before attacking an encampment or Mongols on the road, quickly switch to more combative armor. In fact, with the Director's Cut, the game introduce the ability to save armor and charm set combinations. This allows you to quickly change play styles for differing mission objectives. A tip to fast track learning new stances is hinted at in the game tips it gives you whenever you kill a leader. It tells you to "observe" or "kill" leaders to gain points towards new stances. You can actually do both to speed this process up, but it takes being stealthy! Whenever you enter a new Mongol controlled camp, there's likely a leader within and he's likely practicing his fighting moves somewhere. If you sneak up close to him, (the top of a yurt is a great place to hide, enemies don't seem to look up, or within tall pampas grass), it will give you the option to "observe" him. Do so and it will give you a point towards the next stance. Then killing him will give you a second point as well.

54:34 It may have been a headshot, but you didn't pull the string back for long enough, so the arrow didn't have enough force

The level of story and dramatic involvement was fabulous, and I didn’t see that again until Kratos and later Spider-Man 2. Miles rocks! I’ve come to realize that Miles is a better Spider-Man. My daughter was let down by no Spidergwen. I even learned about Harlem music history.

Idk if someone already mentioned it. But in the settings you can turn on visual cue when archers are about to fire at you off screen so you can dodge it while fighting someone else
