Yep, it looks like the feet area on the giga is where collision is setup. If possible you may just need to extend the ramps down enough so that they interact with the feet at the right depth.

You can still make a bridge to Death Island, you have to start on the beach at co-ords 19.8 74.7. It will end at 18.5 80.3 and the water is shallow enough that you won't have the build height issue. Love the vids Bro

Had a similar issue getting dinos up a submerged ramp before. Try aiming the camera up as much as possible when getting close to the ramp. It will push up the dino enough to get on it.

Sl1p, one thing to consider is that your ramps may not be long enough for the Giga. Try extending your ramps in the ocean by 2 or 3 in length and see if that does the trick. Keep up the good work!

Hey slip if the dinos have a low clipping pain, try pulling the ramp back and building the ramps down further with a ceiling connected. that way they have something to walk up on no matter how deep they are

Will Jackson Has that been tested? I thought rafts where out but that platforms only kept dinos with platform saddles from going on a dino with a platform saddle. SO in my head I pictured it working so long as the large Dino did not have a platform saddle on it.

You can try just building the ramp part that is in the water lower, it looked like the gigs just couldn't get its feet onto the ramp. Hope this helps

slip the best way to do the bridge is to start at the lowest point and build out, due to the pillars will snap to each other and will keep the pillars at the same lvl and make it easier when you get to the ends. You will use less wood doing this.

The Giga is because they want it to take forever to get it to an enemy's base, and the qutz is because they don't want you to be able to land a quetz on a quetz, because you could put a bunch of storage on the top one, and weight wouldn't transfer to the bottom one (the one flying). Also, for the ramp you need 5 ramps down for the Giga. 4 might work, depending on how high above the water the bridge is. The height above the world thing depends on the distance from the lowest foundation supporting it. Assuming they don't increase that, I think it would be cool if they made it so you could have angled pillars that anchor onto either a regular pillar or a cliff face. It would be good for situations like this as well as for building bases sticking out over the edge of a cliff.

You could add more ramps into the water so it is deeper. the feet of the dino seem to be the point that it climbs up. the further into the water ramps will allow for easier climbing.

Our server has a full metal bridge to the island, but on the other side of the bridge. The pillars run straight down to the sea floor.

I remember doing something like this when I first played ARK; I was fed up with having to swim this deep river every time I wanted to go hunting with my raptor, Garrus, so I built half of a bridge. Pretty much the same thing as this happened, so I had to just sprint and jump off one end so I'd only swim for a second instead of having to swim across the whole thing like usual. Still pretty useful, but wow collecting wood gets old fast.

Can you build a ramp down into the water like you did and build from there again so that the middle part of the bridge is submerged but still able to carry? Depending on the hight issue, moving alittle further down with a ramp or 2 would still carry the bigger dinos.

Hey Sl1pg8r! The problem with the bridge for the giga is that his footing is too far down into the water, with a few more ramps it should work. I'm guessing like 4-5 more downwards in the water would do it. Keep up the great work. And also could you give us a map over some simple Key commands you are using in game? Like moving stuff in and out of containers/dinos and stuff & things like that :)

Hey sl1p, its works if you build it across the south west of the island, no problem, I done it before rafts where brought in to the game to get a rex back to the main island, its much shallower. Hope this helps

The update that made Gigas unable to use platforms was just for the Giga. Before that there was already a system in place to keep "platforms" off of platforms, they just added Gigas to the list. By "platform" I mean any dino that can equip a platform saddle, regardless of whether it currently has one equipped or not.

For a 5 tile wide bridge from Dead Island to that rough area you were at, it would require at least 8000 pillars.

I build all the time in Ark, it is not a build height of 120, anywhere. At that measurement a single pillar would be 320.5 units high, the same height as a wall but when you stack the pillars, that is when you get a change in their per unit/height. Either way, all building items max out at the same height as exactly 78 pillars tall.

The gigas feet don't even touch the half way bridge ramps. Extending them deeper so that the gigas feet actually hit the top of the ramp I'm sure would fix the noclipping issue.

hey slip! late suggestion but on the server i play on, there is a bridge to death island on the NORTH side of that river, pretty much adjacent from that oasis lagoon area, straight to the island. Things may have changed and it may not be possible anymore, but maybe check how deep it is there? anyway keep on killin it homie!
