I did the same with my 2005 SL500. Unlike you I didn't glue the hose connections on the IV bags, so one of them came loose. Other than that, they've been working for a couple of years. Great video!

Great video! I used the air pump wedge bags on Amazon…they are bullets proof and will last a lifetime!!!!

I did this about a month ago and so far so good. I did have several plastic tubes crack and break which I replaced with small silicone tube I had in my garage. I used same bags on side bolsters and folded then in half length wise.

can you add the dynamic seat control unit to one that does not have it? I am going to do this repair and would like to upgrade

I couldn't say as I don't know what comes with the non Multicontour seat. Seems it would be a heck of a lot of work. You would also need to program it in with a DAS computer.

Not familiar with those seats, but I'm sure it would work any similar sized bladders.

Hi Marco, this is a very useful video, thanks for posting it! Do you happen to have OEM part numbers for that seat back insert panel that holds the bladders (driver and passenger seats)? I believe I have found a set that might work for my 2004 SL500, but want to make sure of fitment before buying them. Thanks!

You can get the workshop manuals on ebay, search "Mercedes WIS". It's a program that you put on your computer.
