From takeoff to about 2 hrs 45 mins the developing beauty of this video is IMO among the best you've ever recorded. The subtle gradations of blue shading slowly becoming more apparent far surpasses anything Picasso ever did in his blue period. And then the slow journey into light...just spectacularly grand and dazzling. Great work!

Hmm, what do you use to book your flights? (Anyways loving the full flight videos skylite)
@sla312 жыл бұрын
I book my flights directly though each airline. I never advocate using any third party website to book any travel. I use Google Flights to search for flights, but then book them on each airlines individual website. In general, third party sites aren't going to be cheaper anyways, and if they are for some reason, you're getting a ticket with A LOT of restrictions.

@sla31 Жыл бұрын
Hey Bob. I get emails when new comments are left, even if the comment is then removed. Perhaps you saw a similar response, and that's why you removed it, but I thought I'd explain anyway. Your comment was about upgrades. Believe me, I would clear the upgrade list on pretty much every flight with the status I have on all Star Alliance & Oneworld carriers, as well as independent airlines like Hawaiian & JetBlue, but... However, I always opt out of all upgrades. Here's why... My channel isn't about me always getting a great seat, or even really about doing a "trip report." It's about the aviation, the beauty of aviation & nature together, and about sharing my love of commercial aviation & travel with everyone else. Because of this, meticulous amounts of planning go into every single flight I take, regardless of how insignificant a flight it may be. If I'm flying from Tulsa to Houston on United, the same planning goes into it as if I were flying ANA from Honolulu to Tokyo. I plan every detail of the flight including noting sunrise/sunset times, how much of the flight will be in the daylight vs. night, where the position of the sun will be in the sky, what the historic flight path is, all the way down to the exact seat I want so I can film the best possible video. I have an entire word documents built in advance for every single flight I take, just to make sure I have the absolute best information and best chance of filming a stunning flight. All to help ensure I am providing the absolute best possible flight experience for every single flight I take. Now... If I could afford to fly first all the time, I would haha. And I would put the same amount of planning into it. But, I can't afford to fly first. And the problem with upgrades is that I am never guaranteed any specific seat, and frankly, particularly on wide bodies, I may end up without a window altogether. Would it be a nicer flight for me? Absolutely, and as a passenger it pains me to continually opt out of every upgrade. But, as the aviation loving person behind this channel, I will not sacrifice the better experience for you and all the other viewers & subscribers, just because I want to be more comfortable. So, not upgrading 95% of the time, is a choice I make to make sure I'm providing better videos for everyone else. Sometimes I question that dedication when I'm staring at a 10 hour flight I could've gotten an upgrade on haha, but I'm never disappointed with the results.

Great video. But the Airline should have explained why so much hydraulic noise during the descent. One would wonder if the landing gear wouldn't lower.
@aj7422 жыл бұрын
That's pretty normal; in fact I would be more concerned if I didn't hear the hydraulic noise. And you hear so much of that because it's also the slats and flaps that are being deployed, not just the gear.
@ShawnHermanstein2 жыл бұрын
Already love the video because of the 777 🙌🏾 Why don't you do flights to/from JFK?

For those of us who haven't flown in years could you tell us just where you went ? I know SFO but have no idea where ORD is except it snows there.
@sla312 жыл бұрын
ORD is Chicago O'Hare. I list the full city and state with the code in the description, in case someone doesn't know the code. I use the code in the title as they are limited to 100 characters, and since the FAA already has widely accepted codes of the airports, they're the easiest info to abbreviate. Saving me a lot of space for other info in the titles. So, ORD is Chicago. If you ever need to know another, it's always listed in the description. Thanks for watching!

would have been cool to have added the conversation between the plane and ATC
@sla312 жыл бұрын
I agree it would. Here's why I don't. I run everything on this channel by myself. Planning the flights, taking the flights, filming, editing, uploading, replying to comments, etc. I'm a one man show. And I do it all in addition to having a full time job and having a family. I simply don't have time to do that. It takes a lot of time to find all of the audio clips, line them up with the correct part of the video, and then get it all finished. I just don't have time to do it. Maybe someday that'll change, or it'll get easier to track down the audio clips, but right now it's a very time consuming process.
