I love your channel and I have not flown since 1979 and I always flew out of Salt Lake City to Great Falls or to Calgary so this was so good to see and I could not believe how much the great salt Lake has dried up since I flew in 1979 thank you so much for these videos❤️

Please make more airbus flights, the sounds are amazing. Another thing, I know I can’t really ask this but is it possible to invest in a high fidelity microphone just so that the sounds are much clearer and nicer! Your videos would even more fun to watch, but keep up the amazing work!

I’ve actually tried using external, more high quality microphones before, and they just end up sitting on my shelf at home. They never seem to work very well haha. The few I’ve tried using end up catching all kinds of background and static that, IMO, makes it sound worse. Perhaps I’ll look into this again in the future.

Is it kinda weird that they didn’t put the spoilers down after landing
@sla312 жыл бұрын
This has happened to me a few times. Almost always on Airbus flights. I don't know if it was missed on the checklist, or maybe what's more likely, is there was a potential maintenance issue. But looking back at flight radar data, the flight didn't take a delay going back to SLC, so if it was maintenance it was a quick fix. Or, as I'm thinking while I type. Maybe the crew left them up on purpose to check something during the walk around. We may never know the exact reason.

2:04:34 spoilers up at gate. Weird
@sla312 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm not sure why the crew left them up. The flight left for SLC on time and didn't take any delays that day, so I don't think it was maintenance related. Perhaps they just wanted to check something during there walk around. We may never know.

Believe it or not, sometimes pilots actually forget to put them down and when they realize it they just leave the plane like that 😂 it’s true…
@sla312 жыл бұрын
@@theaviator8088 That's also true. They may have just forgotten to lower them haha.
@Kam_MD112 жыл бұрын
Yep - They forgot to disarm the speed brakes. It's just a matter of tapping on the handle and push it down :)
@hanijorfi80992 жыл бұрын
they never forget because it is an item of their afterlanding checklist, it has other reason

I thought it strange that this flight was cleared for takeoff barely a minute or so after the preceding plane had taken off. That strikes me as unsafe because of turbulence from the wings of the jet ahead.
@sla312 жыл бұрын
I could be wrong, because I'm doing this from memory and it's been years since I learned about this. But, if I remember correctly from my private pilot ground school days, wake turbulence, which is what you're referring to here, isn't really dangerous when the aircraft taking off are all basically the same size. Wake turbulence can affect any size aircraft, but I think is only dangerous if the first aircraft taking off, is significantly larger/heavier, than the next aircraft. For example, if we took off in this A319 and the next aircraft to go was a Cessna 150. Like the turbulence is still there for us, but since it was a 737 or ERJ-175 which is basically the same size, it doesn't really affect us. Again, I could be wrong, but this is what I seem to remember about wake turbulence. That's why as a private pilot, learning to fly in Cessna 172s and Piper Cherokees. We'd have to wait like 3-6 minutes after a large aircraft landed or took off in front of us.

Great fly! Why you don't say "New videos are posted daily at 12 PM Pacific/1 PM Mountain/2 PM Central/3 PM Eastern on Monday through Friday and 8 AM Pacific/9 AM Mountain/10 AM Central/11 AM Eastern on Saturday and Sunday!" with all 4 time zone on your video description? Include that next time so people won't have to look up time zone calculator.
@sla312 жыл бұрын
I don’t do that because it’s incredibly long and would make more people mad then when I just list one. Plus, descriptions can only have so many characters and listing every time zone isn’t the most important information to make sure is listed. I use central time because that’s where I live. There’s only 4 time zones in the contiguous US, so it’s really not that hard for people to figure out. 10:00am central on a weekend upload is 1 hour ahead for the east coast, 1 hour behind for mountain and 2 hours behind for the west coast. Plus, most people don’t watch right when it comes out. Most people watch later in the day when they get a chance. So ultimately, the release time just isn’t that important to worry about listing all of that info.
