My assumption has been that Beastmen are next for the last 4 months, yes. Seems pretty unlikely we'll know anything about the next lord pack soon, check back in April or May

@@milkandcookiesTW Oh don't get me wrong man, I'm just messing around. I do still think that hinges on two things: whether Beastmen will be heavily affected by Chaos changes in TWW3, and whether or not CA feels like porting some of that back into TWW2 in advance.

@@milkandcookiesTW Loremaster of Sotek has access to a beta build at the moment (could be irrelevant) and there were updates to the GW branch of SteamDB very recently so we could see the next DLC in march. Also, if the Total War access image the released for "Day Twelve" of their Twelve Days of Total War several months back is any indication, it could be Dark Elves vs Dwarfs.

I've seen that picture and zoomed in really far. The black smudges in the background dont look like Gyrocopters when you zoom in on them. Not sure what they are or if they're even important, but they're not Gyros

Obviously it would have to be balanced for vanilla but I really hope the Beastmen get something like the totems. It would be very interesting if they got something that sort of symbolized them planting a grizzly banner of skulls and hide in the ground to rally and encourage their units. That said getting just the Gorgon, Jabberslythe and new campaign mechanics would honestly be enough for me.

So I need to know, Beastmen who are aligned to specific chaos gods like Slaangor's, are those actually a thing or are they homebrew? Or something more akin to the Rogue Idols from the Greenskins (I believe they were units made up by the white dwarf magazine and are seen as "half canon" or "semi canon"?)

Yeah they're a full on thing, as in they're in the Beastmen army book. One for each god, Slanngor, Pestigor, Khorngor and Tzangor, all with their own stat block and varying, if similar, rules

Weird thing I found out about beastmen in SFO is that bestigors have only around 14000 HP. Any other high tier infantry I could find has atleast 20000, they loose to pretty much any kind of heavy infantry. But that seems more like an oversight than anything else.

You'd have to ask Venris, I've not done much testing with them. But I think they have very high charge bonus and great ap values coupled with impressive speed, so if you cycle charge them in the same way you do with Slaangors, I bet they would do quite well

Hmmm, I think that wargor might need a serious buff, he should be able to crush almost any ranged unit in melee combat, I get that he's more of a support hero, and he's a duelist, but he should still be able to rip and tear his way through a fairly damaged spear unit with little to no difficulty. also why is it that whenever a lord or hero close into melee by themselves they almost always rout (even when they're winning, and, annoyingly, it's usually against a single unit), but some infantry units can hold the line against all sorts of enemies and still have solid leadership

I think it has nothing to do with stats and just the fact he's a sine entity unit. You can see that his animation was bugged out and he wasn't attacking the sea guard.

I mea it does balance with the phoenix guard, because those were absurdly powerful too I'm more worried for the wargore. A hero melee specialist who can't even deal with spear archers

that had very little to do with SFO though. Lothern Seaguard were in a dense formation so they could turn and shoot more easily. The downside to doing that is that it makes your units more susceptible to artillery. If you box up Lothern Seaguard like that in the base game, 4 good Cygor shots will absolutely rout them. Of course SFO has balance issues from a PvP perspective, its not designed first and foremost for PvP. But thats a weird thing to focus on as it could happen just as easily in the base game

That is the same with Every Mod Radious does the same except they make New units and some are OP. I would Rather just Use Radious Campaign Mechanics not the New Units or at least be able to only use the Lower tier Units because all the High Tier ones are stupidly OP
