Big up from Houston. I agree the plexi signs look cleaner. Would be dope to have some back lighting on that and a bit of opacity in the plexi sign to get the best of both worlds. I'm sure there is a way of doin that. LEDs would be really low power consumption and wouldn't take up a lot of space.
