Awesome introduction to Slack. I had never heard of Slack until it was referenced in an IT course I'm taking, so I set out to investigate. Nice to find a platform that just presents the facts without trying to trash any other similar apps. Wonderful to have someone who loves tech and makes communicating it interesting, shows the everyday uses of the tech and whose enthusiasm is down right contagious. Hello from a fellow BC, Canada resident.

Hi Steve and team, thanks for sharing this video. Our very small nonprofit organization is finding Slack invaluable now while working remotely, and will continue to use it once back in our office space. We find it of particular value in project management using the channels, as well as diverting us from the dreaded email chat. The ability to integrate G drive is amazing, and helps to eliminate searching through the drive or email for links.

Excellent Presentation! Presented Just as the the Title States. I viewed several videos for under two minutes that did not captivate my attention. I like how the Presenter explain Slack in simple terms and provided an option to go directly to a heading for information. After attempting to watch the first few videos, I was going to do just that until he began speaking moving along the content in a succinct manner in an easy-to-follow way. Now, I have a pretty good basic understanding of Slack. Thanks for sharing!

My team and I have been using Slack now for a year or so. I 100% agree with your comments about "Did I email, text, skype or Slack you?". Question; For items that may need some research or extended days before a response, how does one keep track of what needs to be responded to? With an email inbox, I can still see message, I can flag it, I can mark it as unread, etc. How do I do something similar in Slack to ensure proper follow up is done?

I like the idea with one caveat, it may be difficult to teach a community to use Slack if it is not part of their day-to-day operation, I would worry that your patrons would not be comfortable communicating on a regular basis and a tool that they don’t use frequently.
