So much better than the POS iRobot s9+ that we have had a couple years. The thing constantly gets lost only feet away from the docking station, sucks up cat toys, misses big areas around floor transitions, and often takes the long route to get to a location as well as going rogue and randomly vacuuming an area we didn’t tell it to. In addition, hair and string completely destroy the rollers. I would like to see a vacuum robot that uses brushes instead of the silicone rollers. They pick stuff up better and last much longer. It’s good to see that they are improving the features on these things. We bought ours 2 years ago and have a separate vacuum and mop unit. With cats vacuuming is a daily task so it’s nice to not have to do it manually.

My wife picked up the current upright vacuum we have at a second-hand store for less than $45. Spending almost $1,200 would be just plain wrong. Also, she loves vacuuming. It's therapeutic for her.

I used to be like that.

most frustrating thing about the s10. when it pauses for any reason, there is no easy way to restart the job. u hit any button and it swaps to its default job type (vac or vac and mop) and starts a new job.

Hmm. I haven't had that issue. Pressing the button on vacuum or the app just resumes the task for me.

@@SlackerLabs try it out. Mine is defaulted to vac only , but 3times a week it does vac and mop. If it pauses during that job and I resume it , it switches to vac only. I'm also about to send it away for the second time for none stop waste water tank mispositioned error.

@alpha1172 I will try it again. So far it hasn't done that. But honestly it's only paused on its own 3 times and I have paused it maybe 3-4 times to check the dustbin status. So far no issues on resume. I will test it more thoroughly this weekend.

RoboRock vacums had lidar already years... Also those can avoid items left on the floor. But it don't have direct water connection.

Yea. Lidar has been around. I have had other lidar based on vacuums but they haven't avoided objects like cat toys or socks
