My cat passed away this year as well, so I feel for Fauna. No matter how many pets you've had or lost, it always hurts to have one leave your life, especially cats or dogs, because you lose a roommate, friend and companion all at once, someone who'd been a constant presence in your home and in your life. Rest in peace little Clover... You were loved by more people than you'll ever know. Years ago our 18 year old dog had to be put down, I was handling it well I thought until my dad cried. My dad never cries. We still miss him to this day. Hearing the way Fauna talks about her cats is the most heartwarming thing I've ever heard, you can tell just how much she loves them. I hope she has plenty of people around her to help her work through the pain and cope with the loss.

My family had a cat that lived to 21 years old and had some age related health issues before he passed away in 2010. We even had to put down one of our cats(12 yo) at the beginning of the year due health and QoL issues. Regardless of how long they are with us it is always painful when we lose what is essentially our fur children. We know, just like Clover did, that Fauna truly loved him and gave him the best life that she could. RIP Clover o7 Hopefully Fauna takes as much time as she needs to deal with everything she's going through right now.

I went through this situation with my cat at the end of August, which lasted until the beginning of September, in the end, he had to be euthanized, what still makes me "relieved" is that we avoided more suffering for him in the long run, but the longing never seems to decrease. Oh man I hope she sees this. Thanks for making this. It brings back memories for me, I when I was a kid found a stray kitten in the yard and my family kept him and there were other cats through the years too but I pretty much grew into an adult with that cat always around and naturally he got old and health problems started coming up and after 18 years in the family he finally passed. So I know how Fauna feels, they might be pet cats but they are family with a name and personally and a bond. I'll miss Clovers random meows but that was all we ever saw of him, maybe we can finally get a picture of him from Fauna now. Rest in peace Clover.
