You two are proof that you can't listen to them without tapping along. Best party band ever ever ever!

The live version of this banger really shows that Noddy Holder truly had the rockingest rock voice on the planet!!! He probably still has, even though he's in his 70's!! 😍

Saw them in the Reading Festival in the 1980's where they had lost their popularity but came on stage as a last minute substitute for Ozzy Osborne. They ended up being one of the most entertaining and loudest bands there. They sang a new song ' We'll bring the House Down' , which was released as a single because of the audience loving it, and it reached the top 10 in the UK and started a revival of the band's popularity to a new audience.

Their 'Slade Alive' Album is one of the best live albums of all time. Slade are still one of my favourites after 50 years.

This is just quintessential Slade. Loud and raw. Even better live, when you can see how Noddy Holder works the audience.

So much great music in the Uk charts in the 70's in the Glam rock era! Bowie, Queen, Sweet, T Rex & Elton John. Outselling them all was Slade with 17 top 20 hits in a row & 6 that reached number1. Nobody has ever had a voice like the great Noddy Holder!

Just a bit of history behind this for you. Was originally written in 1964 and released by Bobby Marchan as Get Down With It. However Slade always attributed it to the later Little Richard version but altered it to fit their own image when they released it in 1971

Slade and TRex formed the backdrop of many teenage lives in England in the early 1970s. They rocked, but were also great fun. I saw Noddy holder, in his seventies on TV last week. He is still his entertaining self.

Im a little late to this but, fun fact, Get Down And Get With It is the only song Slade played at every gig, it never left the setlist. My abiding memory of this is hearing it played as a last tune at a techno club, it was something to see! Glad you guys enjoyed it!

Slade are/were a much loved band here in the U.K, 17 consecutive top 20 singles and 6 no 1's in the early '70s Glam Rock era, My personal favourite is 'Mama Weer all Crazee Now' & other's like 'Cum On Feel The Noise', 'Coz I Luv You', 'My Friend Stan' they weren't popular with English teachers due to their unique spelling! Fun Fact of the day Noddy Holder the lead singer was a serious contender to become AC/DC's new frontman after the sad loss of Bon Scott in 1980 before they settled on Brian Johnson, Please react to more Slade! Cheers Jim, Surrey, U.K

These guys were huge in the UK, nobody like them. 'Cuz I love you' 'Run Runaway' 'Gudbuy 't Jane' 'How does it feel' 'Mamma weer all crazee now' and 'My friend Stan' will give you an idea of their diversity (and yes they spelt the titles like that 😉)
