I was so born in the wrong era. Should have been a 60s baby instead of a 90s baby. It breaks my heart that i wasnt born when these guys were huge. Love them! They're amazing. Long Live SLADE!!!!!

Slade was the most underrated band of all time! I absolutely LOVED all their songs but Universe is my fave! I know it's not as wild and loud as the old stuff, I guess I've grown with them. They are ROCK GODS!

It's a very beautiful and majestic tearjerker of the 90s it will put tears in your eyes. When a song did that to me it shows how internal and powerful the gift of music is. I miss the old Slade band together.

Slade's final crack at the charts and again the entire UK turned their backs, seeing the song as another attempt to get the usual "Slade Xmas Hit". Whilst My Oh My, All Join Hands and Still The Same all had their own meaningful messages, this song had something honest and rather special. It may not have been the way Slade should have disappeared but it was a fitting grand finale.

I saw Slade live (1980), they were fantastic. Best live band I've ever seen, bar none. So much energey on stage from all four of them! Sadly, there are no videos on KZbin to do them justice - they were just a bit too early, bands didn't often get filmed live in those days and the equipment just wasn't up to making bootlegs... Sadly.

My guess is that Noddy didn't want to do it anymore, but he agreed to do a couple more singles ("Universe" and "Radio Wall Of Sound" before he left. "Universe" is a sweet tune, though. Slade has quite a few real nice ballads through their history. "Wonderin' Y" is one of my faves. A great band with so many great songs. I wish Slade could have had more hits here in the States. But I guess it was our loss more then their's.

I saw them I think in 1974or 75 and they blew my socks off. It was at the old Majestic theater in Dallas, Texas. Led Zeppelin sat in a box seat and the great late John Bohnom(probably spelled wrong) threw fruit at Slade. All in all it was a week-end to remember. Led Zepplin on Friday night in Dallas , Slade on Saturday night and again Led Zep on Sunday night in Ft. Worth, Texas. The good old days !! No ticket over $7.
